Black Rock Restaurant is at Caimeo Beach in Liquica about 27 kilometers from Dili, Timor Leste. The restaurant is part of Caimeo Beach Resort. Caimeo Beach is a pebble beach with palms and clear blue water. The climate is tropical with all year swimming.
We ate at the Black Rock while staying at Caimeo Beach Resort. The position of this looking out over the water and the evening sunset is sensational. In between drinks you can pop down to the beach for a dip in the water (just mind the rubbish floating by though) and then shower before resuming your seat! I like the relaxed idea of the couches. Wine selection is limited to a couple of reds and whites so don't come here for great wines (and you have to buy a whole bottle). Menu is adequate and has some great traditional dishes, like the mee and nasi gorengs. Curries are good too. Staff are friendly and helpful.Hi Conatus,Thank you for reviewing Black Rock. I am sorry there was rubbish in the water when you were here, mostly the water is clear but sometimes after big storms rubbish is washed down the rivers. I hope you can visit us again when the water is clear.Best wishes,Tanz.

I can't believe I have never stopped here all my time in Dili. Now I know why there are so many cars parked out front. Great menu selection and laid back atmosphere.I got the medium spicy Port sausage burger with chips and a Timorese salad. Just perfect for my appetite. The burger held together and the bun was soft, the way I like it. Very nice sized portion of chips. Salad was very basic with oil dressing, I enjoyed it.I am returning!

I found this a great place to go to o a weekend evening. Waiters were wonderful and cheerful. I arrived early, around 16.00, and there was no one. I whiled up some time and came back around 18.00. The place began to fill up around 18.30. Many internationals, good service, and good food when you want something different from Indonesian. Live music. Enjoyable!
