After asking for 4 different items that weren't on the menu: baked potato, corn cups, avocado float and lime juice we asked what was available! I had a healthy ginger tea which they made for me with honey instead of sugar. I would ask for it chilled with ice if I have it again because the flavor was amazing. Hubby got a strawberry smoothie. Then I got the crunchie chicken plus ordered a salad. They both were yum. (Salad seems to be difficult to find and it does come with lots of creamy dressing)Interestingly enough the salad had potato in it (which I guess they could have baked?)Hubby got beef udon noodles. Good flavor. We didn't want to be in a smoking zone so we got a special wee room about 2 by 4 meters big. We will eat there again while in Waingapu.
This place is not only offering the cordial staffs but also the the restaurant with nice foods. So many menus that you can choose from Chinese to Western foods. The taste is standard hotel. The prices are make sense for the place in Waingapu. Nice restaurant .
Heard of sliced bread well leslie's retuarant is the best thing tocome to Waingapu since sliced bread. There is no s;iced bread in Waingapu. The place is clean to Western standars. The food is not the cheapest, but the greatand large in portions . The bakso is exceptional Value for money. It is not the cheapest in town but is the bIn the morning I eat at the market, where rrts do a tango , for my fav fish dish and very strong Sumba coffee, but in the evening my heart goes to leslies' and then I retreat with a few beers ( not bought at the restaurant but locally for 30k, to the roof top of the merlin. the ends of the earth lie in Savu Raijua. Stay in in small native hut when you hit the roof beams till your scalp bleeds and the neighbours say, Sakit Mr Cornelis, but that is not what I said

Seafood is delicious, clean place. Super best eatery in Waingapu. We can also experience the hustling harbor and people fishing during night. Recommended
We came here for dinner, watched the sun setting, ordered a few dishes from the menu. Ikan bakar permata, kangkung hot plate, beef hot plate, soup jagung asparagus. Love every dish especially the ikan bakar permata. They have their yummy special sauce, not the common general grilled fish out there. They have chinese tea! Which is a plus. I donât find it anywhere else in Waingapu.

This place is considered as one of the most beautiful and comfortable place to stay. Located on the highland, they have villa to stay and a restaurant. Great view and unfortunately I didn't have the chance to stay for a night. Go to here at sunset, because at noon it was too hot.

Great barbecue joint in Waingapu. Highly recommended. I would like to review it
Well, what do you expect from a super crowded resto, its delicious meals of course. But, in my opinion the foods are so standard. Maybe because they served so many foods or no option for guest for dinner or lunch. I was here on my 1st day in East Sumba but theyâre full. I came back in next 2 days and they only one table left. Thank God. Well, what makes them full was they have reservation from travel agents. So, my tips if you want to dine here, info your tour agent to make reservation and pre order food. If you here without reservation be ready to wait a bit longer. Coz they prepare all the preorder food. Just like us, first come but weâre the last to eat.

The veranda atmosphere of the cafe is inviting without any harsh music or noise. Its great to lounge around on the old fashioned couches and take in mountainous views whilst sipping a minty concoction or a java brew. The menu is substantial and quite tasty. It can get quite busy - so get to your corner early in the evening to secure a good spot. The wifi (free) here is also pretty decent given that Waingapu has weak connectivity in general I hear that Bintang beer has recently been introduced too... :)
