I traveled Flores by scooter, when the cold winds and rain hit me getting up the mountains to Ruteng. I was very glad to find this place, where i got hot coffee and a warming dinner perfectly fitting my needs. I'm specially overwhelmed by the hospitality and kindness of the very nice owner of the Cafe who provided my with all i needed!

This is easily the best place for coffee in Flores, and maybe in much of Indonesia with excellent (really, the coffee is great) servings of different types of coffee. There is also very good and filling pizza, which is a life saver after travelling Flores. The owner, Ondy, is very passionate about good coffee made from local beans as well as being very good at English. Ondy is very knowledgeable and entertaining to talk with, and there is a lot to be learned about coffee, Flores, and Indonesia from talking with him. We spent an afternoon having coffee and laughing with Ondy, all in all a great memory. The coffee includes delicious filter coffee (V60 drip), french press, and various espresso based coffees. Ondy buys the beans locally and does his own roasting with multiple sorts of beans and types of roasts available for selection daily. Pizzas are also made by Ondy who makes his excellent pizza from the bottom. The medium size was easily big enough for us. This place is a great stop for any lover of coffee as well as a pleasant location to spend an afternoon or for dinner. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you sebastian and josephine for coming... And dont forget prepare the ring for josephine asap... Best regards from us here... Quality momment with both of you...

Favorite dishes from lunch were calamari and chicken satay. Even the fries were better than average. Service was prompt and friendly. Not everything on the menu is available, and there are some odd descriptions. (I suspect the "Burger Ice Cream" is an Ice cream sandwich!)

This restaurant is located in the grounds of Spring Hill Bungalows, although it seems to be a separate business. We sampled delicious dishes such as spinach with shrimp paste and sautéed green beans. The Japanese pork loin was tender and juicy. Everything was refined and delicious.We were, however, a bit disappointed by the large amount of fried dishes, which narrowed down our selection quite a bit, since we dislike deep fried foods. One suggestion: why not add a dessert list? At least for fresh fruits or ice cream.The staff was friendly and helpful.

We went there to have some traditional Indonesian food. It was very fresh and was prepared quickly for us so that we could eat all at the same time. The couple who was running the restaurant could speak English very well (which is quite difficult to find in Ruteng) and the lady was cooking in the kitchen. They were super friendly and even drove us back to the hotel as we didnât have any taxi!
