Authentic Indian Cuisine
When we went to this attractive place for dinner, the patrons were a large Indian family (which usually inspires confidence in the food) and a lot of university students (which often indicates low price). The food was good, the quantity enormous, and the prices low. When I visit Lansing again, I'll be back to Swagath.

Located on the corner of Marsh Road, Maru Okemos features a full sushi bar, cozy seating in a hip ambience to match the modern Japanese dishes.
I went for lunch recently.with friends during a workshop break. The presentation is jaw dropping beautiful and at a table of 10, there was not a single complaint. People reached across offered, shared, and tasted different dishes. I had Mahato rolls and it was beautiful and delicious, I was afraid the pico de gallo would be too spicy, so the server suggested it could come on the side. It did. It wasn't spicy. The server answered all questions and brought extra chopsticks, forks, ginger, etc The decor is on the sleek, clean lines look. In summer the outdoor area is a pleasant spot to eat. While the portions were large (or enough for two) the prices were around $15 for the rice rolls.

A number of local beers on tap. Good sandwich and salad selection. Grilled blackened chicken was great. Wife had a southwest salad which was very good. Pub atmosphere. Can get very crowded ( tons of people coming in after sate basketball finals and big waiting line). We thought it was well worth the visit.

This is the 3rd visit to this HopCat location. The poorly managed location is living off blind adoration of its excellent beer selection. The vestibule was swamped with water. The waiting area has a had couch in it with no-legs for at least 6 months, and it was also dirty. The hostess mismanaged my table lead-time by 36 minutes. So much for their fancy I-Pad program intended to seat guests.... Recommendation- go somewhere else until they hang a signout side that says -retrained by Detroit location or better still (but painful) the UM HopCat Manager is now in charge.

Stopped in for our first visit and were not disappointed. I had the half order of nachos and smoked chicken wings. Both were fantastic. My gf had the pulled pork sandwich and loved it. I also enjoyed my 40oz PBR that was appropriately served in a brown paper bag. We were also surprised at how reasonable the prices were. Can’t wait to go here again and try the ribs!

The State Room Restaurant is one of the premier restaurants in Greater Lansing featuring casual-upscale American cuisine, 500 bottle wine list, Michigan craft beers and a sophisticated lounge.
We ate at the State room for a recent birthday. Choosing an entree is difficult because they all sound good. Some restaurants are mostly variations on the same theme with a couple of exceptions. The state room has interesting and great tasting variety. I haven't had a bad meal there. Service was efficient and friendly, although the previous time we were there about 6 months ago the server was not good-several errors. A couple of things to keep in mind. Thursdays, bottles of wine are 1/2 off and for birthdays the celebrant gets their entree free.

Meet a friend for lunch at the Soup Spoon Cafe. Plenty of parking next to restaurant. It was busy, but service was good and the wait for food was very good also. We both ordered the special - Cafe Tenderloin Stroganof. It was excellent. Nice waitress and interior of restaurant was OK also. Will be back to try other dishes.

Sansu has great sushi and excellent bento boxes. We also love the side salad and miso soup. It is our favorite Japanese restaurant in the Lansing area. Interesting fact: The "tatami room" is not taxing on the knees.

The Lansing Brewing Company serves as a living testament to the hard-working men and women who built our great city. We embrace our city's roots while heralding in a new beer-loving generation just in time for Lansing's rebirth. Visit our tap room for a craft brewed pint and indulge in one of our fresh gastro pub inspired dishes.
I wasn't hugely impressed with the pizza, the poutine or the beer. All of it was about average and there are quite a few other unique breweries in town.

Met before the MSU-ND basketball game. Good service and great sports bar atmosphere. The sampler plate of appetizers is huge, but everything was heavily breaded and fried. It was so much that we never got around to ordering a pizza. Timely service, also.
