Est. 1964, a "classic" little place serving Indonesian Meatballs (Bakwan) fried or in soup and Mie Ayam (Chicken noodles) with pangsit and siomay on the side. A must visit establishment in Mojokerto.
This is a classic establishment in Mojokerto. Centrally located. Serving the best meatballs called bakwan, a 'meatier, cleaner, tastier' version of bakso. Been frequenting this place since my childhood. They also serve the fried bakwan which can't be found anywhere else, really2 good. The pangsit ayam (chicken noodle) too is served old school style; it is disappearing anywhere else. The dawet / cendol is also very refreshing. A must when you're in town!

The menu is typical of cities Nganjuk presented here as muddy rice, mutton satay, mutton stew.
The traditional food stall serve "sego becek" and lamb satay. Sego becek with chunks of lamb and soup taste unique and rich with spices. Little bit of spicy will not hurt you at all! Stop by to recharge your energy and apetite.

overall the place is not bad location: -7.614240, 112.566220hotel:- make sure you ask for the new hotel premise which is located across the restaurant and can be accessed by cars- the older rooms are located close to the pool; they look old and dark; they don't look very appealing to me- the hotel information says that the room has fridge. i found none in my room- the water in the sink was off in the morning. - the view was goodrestaurant:- the food is ok but i think it is a bit pricey for the region- the hotel provides breakfast at the restaurant but the variety of the breakfast menu leaves something to be desired. it has only fried rice and soto for breakfast- breakfast starts at 8, which i think is a bit latestaff:- generally staffs in the hotel and restaurant are polite- one drawback is staff in the gift shop and at the pool entrance are rather unwelcoming. the management needs to train their staffs better attraction:- it has a swimming pool - the premise is under major development (i believe the outbound facilities). i believe in one year time this place can offer attractive vacation place with families- the place holds a quite large number of horses; some of the horses are available for horse-back riding. ask the person in the stable- pricestandard room: Rp. 450.000 (about $40)transit room: Rp. 300.000 (about $25)club room: Rp. 650.000 (about $55)suite room: Rp. 800.000 (about $70)

Everyone can write different things when it comes to food. I want to be blunt for this restaurant, because since middle of the 2000's up to now: the food remain standard and sometimes tasteless (the rawon was not extraordinary and the nasi rames has not been a first tier too); the price is expensive for a town like Mojokerto, and the service is pretty much standard let alone improvement.

My mom said the restaurant has been there forever. Even the decoration didn't change much, so simple and looked a bit old. The waiter was not so friendly, unfortunately. The food was nice, nothing special, but really decent portions for what we paid for. It was nice to try though, to experience one of the old restaurants in Kediri town.

What I love about Kediri is the food! Not only that the food is delicious, it is also very affordable. I am surprised that not many Indonesians know Kediri's delicacy. This soto is an exemplary delicacy that a visitor cannot miss. The broth--coupled with selected organic chicken--tastes really good. The place is not that big, but somehow feels very homey. If you want an authentic Kediri food, come to this place.
