You can buy a bowl of meatballs (and also the side dish like noodle, tofu, and many more, you can add up the dishes by yourself) with only 20k rupiahs, and delicious 'tahu-lontong' with only 10k rupiahs. And I loved it sooooo much! You can sit on the chair, or feel the 'lesehan' being. You can eat during the street singers sing the lullaby song with their guitars. Yeah, you can catch the nostalgic atmosphere of Malang there!

We are on a trip to Malang and decided to have lunch here. Most of us ordered the pork noodles. I had a vermicelli noodles. Shared some vegetables, spring rolls, and a rice dumplings. The wonton soup was perfect for the noodles. Extra portion of barbecue pork also good for 11 of us. Service was quite fast too.

An instution in Malang, cant beat their fosco,which is very unique drink of chocolate milk served in coca cola bottle.their cwie mie and lunpia semarang also great, taste very old school and didnt have any modification or modern taste at all, feels to be back in time. Their fosco maybe the only thing that makes me want to visit malang everytime!

I can't comment on the aforementioned cultural show(s), because we either missed it, or it wasn't on the night that we visited. However, the dinner itself was a very pleasant experience, beginning with a fun tour through the mini-museum of interesting artifacts from Indonesian and local history. Some of it, such as the collection of Japanese WWII propaganda, was a bit bizarre, but no less authentic.The food was quite good, and I was delighted to find a very healthy selection of yummy vegetarian dishes. The tempe and tahu (tofu) are not to be missed. As a Westerner, I had been warned to ask only for "medium," and not "spicy," and this was probably good advice, as the "pedas" items can be a bit hot.One last note: The place is gigantic, and so can accommodate large parties.

In the last week of August 2018 my friends and I went to this restaurant for dinner. It was Saturday night and we arrived around 21. It was little bit late for dinner. The place was quite full, and we got a table in the back, and we found there was no waitress ready to serve us. Perhaps they were all busy as it was Sat night. Something I was not really happy about was that it took around 45 minutes for us to get our dishes. I thought it was too long as we ordered simple meals. We could have seen maybe the river if we arrived at noon. It was all the darkness behind us. Nothing to see. So, I think, I'd like to go back there in daytime. The food was average, I think. The food here is really great, just try to ask the waiter/waitress for recommendations, the sop buntut and iga is really good, there are also many drink choices and the desert is really good especially the durian. The environment is quite dark which makes the restaurant seem elegant, the place is also good for photography, there is free wifi and overall i am satisfied with my visit

We had lunch with nasi rawon, mendol, and tempe in 1987, and back to the same resto on last June 2018 when going back home for lebaran. The taste remained the same, tasty! We missed the mendol, unfortunately we got only two, no more. Hope we can have more in another visit.

so many times we said we will not go again but still coming back because of the heritage ambiance.this time to enjoy the "Kroncong"night.i think Tugu kitchen can serve better the fried lunpia in quantity and quality.mini 2small lunpia n a drip of sauce.gudeg looks like out from the freezer n heated.for the prize that is so much higher then the normal food outside we understand cos we pay for the ambiance.pls Tugu we still love u very much.btw Saigon San experience is also the same.too mini portion especially the lunpia n salad.5ml of dressing/sauce.hope to see an improvement.
