zeer sfeervol ingericht restaurant met vriendelijke bediening, mooie uitgebreide kaart. De rechten zijn van hoge kwaliteit en bereid met zeer verse ingrediÃ«nten. De voorgerechten zijn bedoeld om te delen, wat ons erg bevallen is. De prijs komt overeen met de kwaliteit! We komen zeker nog eens terug.

We visited here for dinner after watching the Tour of Flanders cycle race. We didn't intend to have dinner in Ronse, but there was a long wait until the train back to Bruges so we went looking for somewhere to eat. We thought Vrijheid was really great inside with lots of interesting decorations. The food and beer was delicious, and the service quick and friendly. We also loved the music they played. Well worth a visit!

Went here for Sunday lunch recently. Chose it on the basis that it seems to be the top restaurant in Oudenaarde, at least according to TripAdvisor. Well, maybe we were simply unlucky, but I'm afraid the whole experience left us distinctly underwhelmed. First off, we had to wait almost a whole hour between ordering our food and its arriving on the table. I thought they'd maybe run out of steak and had gone to a farm nearby to kill a cow! Second, the food itself was pretty mediocre. My wife's asparagus were rock hard and not at all nice and soft the way they're supposed to be in Belgium. The ambience is pleasant enough: a converted canal/river barge. But we will not be back because the service was so slow.
