This is one of the most innovative restaurants in the area. So, it is different. Probably that is the reason why people don't frequent it as much as they should do. Food is great and very delicious. You choose the same plates for the whole table and you share. Restaurant is turned into a cozy talking lounge late in the evening which allows you to stay a bit longer than you normally do. Service is great. Just go and experience

Well received and so polite, we settled down outside .We chose meat dishes , well cooked and well outlined.Excellent choice of beers , now available also on tap .Only one thing : be careful when you order mineral water : a liter costs as three beers ( but what is also found in other places )

Meaning that in the context of where the owners want to go, this is the perfect place; Good food, relaxed environment, nice terrace at the rigth price. For a relaxed evening with friends and kids, this suited perfect in an authentic scenery. We come back.

The place is a little out of town (and uphill), but worth the effort. Beautiful terrace, very kind staff. Good house wine by the glass. Rather large portion vol au vent and spaghetti. Well prepared, but not really special. The garnalen kroketjes had few shrimps. Good ristretto, tasty and hot (on the terrace).

This was a formal feeling, pleasantly old fashioned restaurant. The menu was also in French and English. I had a seafood salad and my partner had fish, green vegetable and of course a bowl of chips. Unusually my partner really enjoyed the vegatables. The food was excellent as was the service. We will definitely return next time where in this town.

Good food at a very decent price. Food and also the whine is of good quality. As most of the staff has Italian roots, you have the impression to be in Italy. They are also very friendly. Great. Only down side, is when it is bussy, (like on a wednesday, when most of other restaurants in the city are closed) the waiters can't handle it. You will have to wait some time to have your empty plates cleaned and sometimes will need to ask 2 or 3 times after your bill/dessert card.

Went here for Sunday lunch recently. Chose it on the basis that it seems to be the top restaurant in Oudenaarde, at least according to TripAdvisor. Well, maybe we were simply unlucky, but I'm afraid the whole experience left us distinctly underwhelmed. First off, we had to wait almost a whole hour between ordering our food and its arriving on the table. I thought they'd maybe run out of steak and had gone to a farm nearby to kill a cow! Second, the food itself was pretty mediocre. My wife's asparagus were rock hard and not at all nice and soft the way they're supposed to be in Belgium. The ambience is pleasant enough: a converted canal/river barge. But we will not be back because the service was so slow.

During our visit in Belgium, we went to the restaurant with our friends, and this time they took us to the restaurant with the name âPont-Levis18â who is located on the âScheldekaaiâ just at the bridge crossing the river in the centre of the city. This location was formerly a corner House with the âPerrengangâ where the âBoulez brothersâ had a now disappeared oil butcher at the beginning of the 20th century. In the year 1923 they founded a cinema with access in the left part of the house. The restaurant is open every day under noon and during the evening except on Tuesday evening and Wednesday and that all day. The kitchen is open from 12H00 to 14h30 and from 18h00 to 21h00 during week days until Thursday. Friday and Saturday until 21h30 and Sunday until 20h30. The restaurant closes at 22h30 durig the week and on Fridays and Saturdays at 23h00 and Sunday at 22h30. Pont-Levis18, the restaurant where you are not a number and but more than a customer!
