We had a group dinner in De Acht during a tour of Belgium and found the meal and service was excellent. Located down the street from our hotel was also great. Each dish was explained to us by the wait staff which was a plus since some in the tour group were on a special diet. If we had stayed longer in Ghent, my wife and I would have gone back by ourselves for dinner.

These place is fairly small but popular so I would recommend booking in advance. I had the green waffles which were nice but a bit smaller than expected whilst my friends had the American pancakes which looked better value for money. The overall experience was lovely though!

The restaurant is really nice, special atmosphere, young and very friendly staff. The concept of having bioproducts too and beer fitting with the dishes is really nice. The menu is limited but im sure you can find something you like, products are fresh and the food is delicious, done like it should be. From starter till dessert it was a pleasant experience. Waiting times are perfect, attentive staff and prices are normal for the food you get. Keep on going..

After a good hike around Ghent we went here for a lunch, of course we ordered a beef stew and also a salad with shrimps and ham (strange combination but tasted excellent). The stew came with excellent fries and was very tasty. Salad was lightly dressed with citron/vinegar and some cut apple slices, accompanied with bread a meal of it's own. After our lunch we continued our visit in this beautiful city, oh and when you are around don't forget to taste the great Belgian beers!

After some argy-bargy, they begrudgingly took it off the bill! The staff were polite and respectful at all timeMineral water far to pricy! As everywhere else in Ghent!

A lady from the tourist office recommended this place. My friends and I enjoyed our dinner there. We had the beef stew which was delicious. The atmosphere was nice, our waiter very friendly, translated menu in English. It looked like mostly local people were there. Restaurant was about 10 min from city center.

This restaurant was among the top 10 recommendations in Conde Nast Traveler's traditional foods to eat in Belgium. And so I was glad to manage to get there in time and just walked in on a rather busy night. Of course I tried their Waterzooi - a creamy, soupish stew of chicken! The serving size is actually good for two to three people. The service staff are accommodating, provided an efficient and fast service. I didn't have to wait long for my order. Good recommendation of the beer to go along with the dish too. Nice ambience too!

If you want food thatâs fresh and healthy this is a good choice. They offer home made soup of the day and salads along with very tasty desserts and drinks. The venue is light and airy and a pleasant contrast to most of the alternatives which are traditional cafes serving sandwiches and fries. It is opposite the Gravensteen Fort.

They serve typical Belgian dishes, have suggestions...and its delicious. You see alot of locals here so then you know its good. Waiting times are ok eventough the restaurant and terrace was full. Prices are normal for what you get. A nice discovery
