I arrived with a group of people one weekend evening. The restaurant was about half filled. Service was good, friendly and provided good advice on the food. There is a lack of decor and atmosphere. I ordered an tomato omellette with salad. This was greasy as if fried in too much butter and overcooked. The salad was small but tasty. For this I paid 15 Euros, which I think is very steep for two eggs, a few spoons of cheese and some lettuce leaves with the usual mayo dressing - although that price does include my one glass of water. There is a large selection of food though and everyone at my table enjoyed their meal. With the friendly service and excellent menu, I would say that this would be a nice place to go for a meal out on the town, but not for a special night.

every time you visit this restaurant, you won't be disappointed. Good value for your money. Nice choice of plates. Menu at ⬠50, wines included. Don't forget your reservation, especialy during weekends. Friendly staff, try to make you feel at home. Traditional cuisine, in the spirit of their grandmother.

Let me first say this would without doubt have been 5 stars. The food was great, exceptional tasting and beautifully presented. The pace of service though was very slow in my opinion. Almost 40 mins before the first course and over 20 mins after finishing that before the main course arrived. Desert arrived in an acceptable amount of time. Lunch for two around 2 hours ... mmm!I donât think the issue was with the wait staff but more likely with the kitchen. Anyhow, for the price and quality a 5 star haut cuisine meal at much too slow of a pace. (BTW - it was a Sunday lunch with around 18 customers).

The kind of restaurant/brasserie you love to have in your neighbourhood: whether for a business lunch or a romantic dinner, Passe Vite is the ideal place to go. Friendly people, efficient service, good food. Prices are correct. One minor remark: on this cold winter's day it felt strangely chilly in the restaurant.

au bain marie has a ala carte, a day menu (except on weekeend) and a month menu. The month menu is very tasty with 5 or 6 dishes. You can chose for wine included or without wine. The waiters are discret, but friendly. Isabelle, the owner is very friendly. You need some time to taste all this beautifull dishes.

As we had trouble making a reservation in restaurants we had on our shortlist in Ghent we decided to look on the bistronomie-website for other options and learned more about this restaurant. It's a good 20 minute drive from Ghent. We had the december menu and liked every course. One of us has a garlic-allergy and the chef managed to make minor changes to her plates which was appreciated. On every course there was a wine suggested. Every month they serve a wine of a different region. In december it's Austria. The wines blended nicely with every course and where explained extensively by the sommelier, which made him more present that the hostess. The restaurant is somewhat quaintly situated on the groundfloor of a row of houses. When we were there the restaurant was fully booked with around 30 people. You have enough privacy. Not sure if I would put a big commercial poster (that probably/perhaps paid for it) on the wall of a gourmet restaurant. One of the coffeecups had a crack. So a couple of details to make the experience perfect.A very nice evening with great company and food. Worth the detour.

Beautiful place and beautiful person! I always come in Gent for work and it's the third time that I sleep in Hof ter Leie. I always take a dinner in this beautiful place, and I must says, as I'm Italian, that the food is really good. The owner are really polite and professional.
