Beautiful place and great atmosphere
Reviewed By LifeWeLoveWe stopped only for one night to camp there, when touring across Mexico on our motorcycle. The hospitality we experienced from the ladies running the place exceeded our expectations. They were so open, willing to help with everything. Even though we only wanted to spend a night in a tent, they offered us a bed in one of the cottages because the night was very chill. And the cottages are very lovely, comfortable and cosy, you can feel the rustic peace and quite, all surrounded by nature, fresh air and smell of forest.

Hermoso lugar
Reviewed By DulceperazaHermoso lugar donde pudimos disfrutar de la naturaleza, disfrutamos caminar por un jardín de piedras, al lago y llegamos a una cascada. Una cabaña con todos los servicios muy bonita. Esperamos visitarlos muy pronto.

Reviewed By lihhfrancoEl lugar es precioso, después de 3 días de que había nevado todavía había mucha nieve; hay cabañas donde uno se puede quedar, un lago grande donde uno se puede pasear, cancha de voleibol, asadores y baños públicos y hasta un salón de eventos. Vale la pena ir al mirador que tiene una vista espectacular de la sierra, se llega caminando muy rápido. El guía comentó qué hay un sendero que conduce a una cascada pero que toma un par de horas para ir caminando y lamentablemente no pude ir, así que tendré que volver para conocer. Los precios de acceso no se me hacen caros. Eso sí, tomen en cuenta que no hay señal ni de Internet ni de telefonía.

Reviewed By dougfriendNot expensive, right on the lake, very good restaurant, excellent service. Santa Maria del Oro is a very pretty location for a vacation. Limited shopping. The lake a warm, and water very clear and unpoluted.
