Our family owned mountain cafe takes pride in serving hearty and healthy breakfast all day and lunch after 11am. We use the freshest and most flavorful ingredients possible to create our, mostly from scratch, full menu. We offer many vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. We source Willamette Valley fresh eggs, applewood smoked bacon, New Mexican green Chile, Prather Ranch beef and Kennebeck potatoes. Our fresh baked muffins, scones, cinnamon rolls and pastries are perfect to grab with a coffee or latte! We grind Peet’s beans for our complete espresso bar. Whether traveling on I-5 or enjoying the beauty of the north state, we hope you drop by for a visit.
This place was recommended for breakfast, in particular their pastries. Unfortunately we opted for other dishes. My wife's French toast was only fair, not at all exceptional, and real maple syrup was $2 extra (!). I had a huge breakfast burrito, which was fine although not outstanding other than its size. The pastries we did not order looked OK, although not especially inviting.

The wraps are great. The lunch menu, though limited, is excellent. Service is very friendly and the owners are willing to engage in conversation over a variety of topics or leave you alone, as you please. Great place for a lunch time bite or a morning coffee. Good pastries too!

Oh, yum! This place has a wide selection of delicious food that meets the criteria of my husband and myself. He's a LOT less selective (picky) than me in that he'll eat burgers, fries, pizza, etc. -- and moan afterward. I choose delightful fresh salads, organic is best, and homemade soups -- and don't moan afterward. Tee hee. The point is they have something for everyone -- and it's all delicious.

We stopped by Dunsmuir on our way up to Bend, Oregon and were fortunate enough to dine at this exquisite restaurant. The wine was great, the bread was great, the salad was great and all of the entrées were excellent.

We don't go there too often (though we live only 15 miles away) because it is very pricey, but it's usually a fun experience and the food is pretty good.
This trip, the new bartender was inexperienced, but was very cordial and good-spirited about admitting he needed help to make our drinks. Our dining experience in the dining car was only okay this time because we were seated next to a table of men, two of whom were drunk, and the patriarch never shut up the whole time. He was loud and annoying. We tried to laugh it off, but learned when we paid our bill and told the owner about our experience, she confessed that before we got to our table, another couple had been moved upon request due to the noisy patrons at the the next table. I'm a bit annoyed that we were seated there, when there were plenty of other tables available, and they KNEW it was not a pleasant situation at that table.
When we paid the bill, we noticed that they had not charged us for our second round of drinks. We didn't say anything (though we normally would) because of their inconsideration in seating us where they knew it would be distracting.
Will we go there again? Probably. Will we ask to be moved if we don't like our table? You bet. It did not pay to be good sports last time.
