At Bayswell Park Hotel and Restaurant, we have 21 en-suite bedrooms: double, single, twin and family rooms as well as 4 hot tub balcony suites. Most rooms have a sea view but all have a cosy, homely style and a warm and friendly welcome. Our conservatory restaurant offers a hearty Scottish breakfast before you explore the local area throughout the day and only the best ingredients from local produce are used to create a great evening dinner menu. A hidden gem in East Lothian offering a magnificent cliff top location looking out over the Firth of Forth and beyond.
I stayed for one night after a 5 hour drive from Yorkshire. I was on a camping adventure but decided to do the long journey in one go and then stay in a hotel the first night. I liked it here very much. The room I had was excellent and had a sea view. The bathroom was great and they provided luxury shower gels and shampoos etc. I had my evening meal in the restaurant (which I used the online reservation facility to book and which all ran smoothly) The food was very nice and good value for money and served in proper restaurant style. I had a chicken and haggis dish and some lovely samosas. The bar was great as well and had some excellent ales in bottles. Breakfast was very nice as well and the menu was brilliant, having a great variety of different breakfast dishes (even a Middle Eastern one) I'd definitely come here again, either passing through on the way further North or for a nice atmospheric winter break and some more of their nice meals and beers.

An independent hostel within the conservation area of Dunbar situated on the coast of East Lothian. Recently refurbished the hostel has 11 bedrooms, a mix of twins, doubles, bunks and a large family / group room. Lounge, dining room, kitchen and large courtyard.
We stayed here for 3 nights, parent and 4 year old. The place was spotless, like a home from home, with everything you might need. Decor is beautiful and a joy to see. Lisa and Neil were on hand all the time for anything and made lots of effort with my little one, and really helped in any way they could to make my stay more relaxing and easy as a single parent. Little touches like tea and coffee and a well stocked but clean kitchen was just fab. Location is perfect too, everything you need or want to do on hand, or a very short drive away. A really perfect holiday and our first since Covid, made wonderful by all at the Dolphin Inn, would highly recommend this gem of a place!

An 11 bedroomed Hotel incorporating doubles, twins and single rooms. Restaurant seating approx. 80 people with an option for private dining. fabulous views from both sides of the building with facilities to sit outside.
On arrival all seemed good, nice decor friendly staff ( wish I'd got the name of the girl who checked us in - by far the best member of staff we encountered) The room was £49 with £10 per head breakfast. We were shown to the room , which on first impression looked good, tasteful decor & nice view, so now we're into the problem areas. Makeup light in the bathroom didn't work, kettle lid didn't shut & was dented where some previous guest had tried to close it, the shower only gave lukewarm water ( spent a good 15 minutes running it & going through every setting multiple times) Most annoying though was the complete lack of compliance to Covid rules, in the Hotel we were the ONLY ones wearing face covering no other guests of staff were wearing masks. £69 B&B for this want good value & a crying shame on how it used to be. Not planning on a return trip

Looking for hotels in Dunbar? The Pine Marten is a perfect choice. A Royal Burgh since 1445, Dunbar is steeped in history and was one of the most important Scottish fortresses in the middle ages. Guests at Pine Marten can look forward to picturesque surroundings and a cosy log fire. Our lodge also offers a 24 hour manned front desk. Our rooms come complete with digital television, en-suite bathrooms and wifi, for an authentic home-from-home experience, with the added bonus of daily housekeeping being included in your room rate. Our guests can also enjoy free parking at Pine Marten. Sleep soundly in a kingsize Hypnos bed, on the Beaumont mattress, which is filled with a wool-silk mix and has a surface which regulates your body’s temperature. Enjoy an exciting menu in relaxed surroundings, including our speciality rotisserie chicken; it’s seasoned and then flame-roasted to perfection and accompanied by a great selection of side dishes. All of our rotisserie chicken is Red Tractor farm-assured, freshly prepared. Find a great wine selection, as well as a range of soft drinks and spirits. We boast an excellent selection of cask ales, from Marston’s five breweries. Ready to explore? Pine Marten is a great base to be able to see the surrounding areas. Why not visit the nearby fishing village, Musselburgh? For stunning architecture, head to Rosslyn Chapel. Edinburgh one of the most exciting cities around, with plenty to keep you occupied including Old Town, Princes Street for a spot of shopping and the world-famous Edinburgh Castle.
I stayed here with 3 old pals for 3 nights, whilst exploring the local golf courses (and a few of the pubs naturally). I arrived mid-afternoon and was quickly checked in (over in the bar/restaurant) by the manager, a lovely young lady who got me sorted out with a quiet place to work whilst I waited for the rest of the lads to arrive. I grabbed a beer and cracked on, and 50-70Mbs internet certainly helped out. When the rest of the lads checked in we decided to eat in the Pine Marten the first night as we'd all travelled quite a way, and once again the manager was on hand, along with her staff to make sure we were all sorted out, and she even got one of the local lads to call us a cab for when we finished dinner (mostly steaks all were cooked perfectly and really tasty) and fancied a few beers in town (we bought him a pint to say thanks). The rooms were clean and comfy, the shower was good, and we got a good night's sleep (probably partially due to the 75%ABV "tiki fire" rum we found in the Volunteer pub that night! Breakfast was great, I've seen people moaning about instant coffee, but all you have to do is ask the front of house staff (another super-friendly and helpful young lady) and you'll get a proper flat white or cappucino, just ask nicely and don't be a d*ck about it. After a tough day on the course, back to get changed and a couple of beers in the Pine Marten before hitting the town for dinner. Lo and behold, our favourite manager was on hand again, giving us a few ideas of places to try (it can be tricky as many seemed to be closed on certain days midweek). Rinse and repeat (minus the tiki fire) and before we knew it we were on our last (massive) breakfast, and saying a fond farewell to the breakfast team (chef always made an appearance to say hi, quality chap) and we were on our way, sure to return next time we're in the area. Overall a great spot, can't fault the food or drink, prices were very reasonable, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming and always up for a laugh (or at least they were good at pretending we weren't being annoying).

Nestled at the foot of the Lammermuir Hills in Scotland, near the stunning East Lothian coastline, Thurston Manor offers you the chance to create special memories with your family and friends that will last a lifetime. Once a private estate visited by kings, Thurston Manor now offers modern stylish caravans and luxury lodges in a truly stunning country park setting. Once you’ve visited and experienced the park, with its location and superior facilities, it will change your view of leisure parks forever.
Booked a 6 night break with our 2 grand children based on previous reviews. The' super pitch' only just contained our caravan and awning, very close to caravans either side of us. There was an unpleasant, pervasive smell of stagnant water around the waste water drain. Worst of all was the motor bikes and traffic from 5.00am. The road leading in/out of the site is in constant use, it is noisy and too close to pitches. On arrival staff are polite but there is no information or maps. Eating there was awful; 50 mins wait for food, lots of items not available. Very short staffed and felt really sorry for the mostly young staff trying to cope. The facilities block was clean and no hot water problems. Pool needs to be booked every day even though it was frequently almost empty, probably because it costs £9.80 for a family of 4 per hour. There are a LOT of dogs on the site. Fishing is not worth the bother, lots of complaints about the lack of fish and again, the cost. Lake is not really accessible for walks as the lodges are right next to it and strolling around is uncomfortable,as you feel intrusive. Grounds are mostly tidy. If you just want a base it would be fine but don't expect the luxury you see advertised online. The facilities do not appear to be anywhere near enough to accommodate the amount of caravans on site if they are ever fully booked. Final insult was the electricity going off the morning we were to leave. Couldn't cook breakfast and the 'restaurant doesn't do breakfast on a Friday.' No mention of when electric might be back on, no apology. There are better, friendlier and less expensive sites all over the UK.

Located in Dunbar, the Hillside sits in a picturesque location just two minutes walk from the centre of this popular East Lothian coastal town. Looking out to the Firth of Forth, the hotel offers fantastic sea views from fully en-suite accommodation. The hotel also features a bar and restaurant so whether it has been a hard days work or a busy day shopping and taking in the sights of East Lothian why not spend some time relaxing, enjoying a single malt (or two) and some delicious, locally sourced, freshly prepared food.
Had a late lunch here on Saturday. Fish lovely but chips not great quality. Can restaurants realise by paying a bit extra for decent chips or making them in house they will have returning customers. The service first class and drinks great but let down by chips. Won’t return until they upgrade.

We didn’t stay in advertised caravan, the owner put us in someone else’s van. Van was nice. Heating broke down on night 2 of 4 and we moved on as owner confirmed they would part refund. As u can imagine, when you are on a 4 day holiday with your family time is precious. Freezing cold, unsure when anyone was attending and hanging around isn’t how you want your holiday to be. Had no hot water either so couldn’t shower. They have since ignored me and told booking.com they aren’t willing to refund. Such a shame as communication had been ideal prior to that.
