Dodging vomit on the floor is not a great way to visit a place you have never been before. It's not even worth the warm craft beer to sit outside and page through their R10 flip file falling apart menu. I was very disappointed. There is so much potential in this restaurant.

Rose Cottage Restaurant and B&B are a half way stop over from O.R.Thambo Int Airport to the Kruger National park. Our restaurant and B&B are open from 07:00-5:00 everyday of the week. We cater for local cuisine as well as specialized dishes. Our B&B offers lunch and dinner on request as well as transfers. Tour groups are always welcome!
Our group of 40 called ahead and ordered. It was a bit hectic, but they handled our crowd well. There were many delicious sounding entrees. We had a delicious chicken curry. We sat outside and enjoyed the pleasant weather and good food.

Mayfly Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge Dullstroom
Good food and service, portions probably took big for the English (certainly in my case) staff very friendly, only criticism is that you ca see inti wash up room from table 4 not a pretty site. We went back for breakfast nex5 day, did not open until about ten which we thought was odd

Dinner with friend at the start of our holiday. Beautiful intimate restaurant, very good service and amazing food. Our table had the snail starters, stuffed trout and a mutton curry. Beautifully presented and delicious. Very impressed with the wine list. Wines from the Overberg made us feel so at home. Wonderful meeting Steve and him joining us at our table with a bottle of Grappa. What a way to start our holiday. A must when in Dullstroom.

Good food at reasonable prices with a comfortable ambiance. They were preparing for Oktoberfest and it looked like it was going to be a great venue.

If you've wondered what the Dullstroom community should be like, Pickles & Things reflects that to a tee. I enjoyed the atmosphere, meals and gluwein.

The glowing embers were a warm welcome - as were the management and staff. Steak was perfectly prepared according to my order. The homemade pie was absolutely delicious although the pastry could have been happier. I appreciated the generious, crisp salad accompaniment. Lemon meringue pie was to die for! Good coffee too.

We were travelling from Kruger to Johannesburg, and happened to be in Dullstroom around lunch time. Our guide suggested lunch at Pickles and Things. A good recommendation! We had toasted samis and much needed coffee. The samis were tasty, and the coffee was great (they know how to make a good coffee!). Coupled with efficient service, this was a good stop!

Stopped in on the way home for a quick breakfast. We had a chicken mayonnaise pancake and a savory mince pancake. Both were very tasty! Good spot for families, little by of a wait for food and drinks but they were very busy so understandable.

We really enjoyed our lunch, my trout was excellent, hubby enjoyed the sole and the kids pizza was a bargain at only R40 for a large pizza. Service was good and there is a baby and children's play are.
