A quiet and welcoming camping site on the shores of the lake of annecy next to the cycle route 30km surrounded by the beautiful montains....
We stayed at this Municipal Campsite for 3 nights - it was recommended by friends. Owner was friendly and helpful. Cost per night though with Acsi card was top end cost of 20€ per night compared to others nearby for 18€ that had better facilities and swimming pool. Electric kept tripping so we paid extra to have 10amp instead of standard 6amp with Acsi. Our pitch was fine, level grassed area. Facilities :- hot water to wash up was non existent, not sure how you are supposed to wash things properly. Toilet block even though roof area partly exposed to the open was dark inside, poorly lit although when cleaner was in there it was much brighter but we couldn't find any light switches. So shower later in evening was a no as you couldn't really see. Toilet/shower area was very tired looking and old fashioned - shower was hot though! We noticed that other sites not far from ours were full, makes you wonder why. ?

We've been coming to Annecy for almost 40 years and for the past few years we've been driving past this hotel and thinking "that looks nice, we must stay there sometime". In June 2022 we stayed in a Classic Room With Balcony and Sea View. The room was small but well designed and the balcony provided a beautiful view of the lake over to Talloires on the opposite side of the lake. There is a pontoon with swimming steps down to the lake, which is better than any hotel swimming pool and you can book private use of the sauna daily. The restaurant menu was different from the one posted online and had we known this we'd have probably eaten elsewhere but the chef made an exception to accommodate me, which was excellent. There were just two main courses on the menu - pork and fish - neither of which I can eat. However, the chef prepared a beef steak for me which was not on the menu which was superb but the menu does need more options - a beef of chicken dish for those of us who don't eat pork or lamb and also a vegan dish is needed these days. Not vegetarian, vegan, as vegans can't eat vegetarian but vegetarians will happily eat vegan. I'm not vegan by the way but my kids are and this is growing and needs to be accommodated. Despite the gripe about the restricted menu, what was prepared for me was excellent.

We stayed here for four nights and it's not great. Temperature was +30 and the rooms have no air con or even a fan. The decor is old and tired, especially the bathroom. The rope to hold on to going downstairs came away in our hands, it was so poorly secured. Chambermaids had attitude too! We didn't want our room cleaned and they seemed annoyed with this! We wanted to eat in restaurant first night. We sat down and waited 10 minutes and nobody came to our table, offered us water or said anything at all. It's not really a hotel. More a glorified hostel.
