Family run old fashioned pub. Great Black Country food (and battered chips!) suitable for families, groups, couples and entertaining clients or visitors from out of town to give them a true Black Country experience. Live music at weekends and Carvery on a Sunday.
A great experience with old fashioned home cooked pies and chips cooked in lard!
Very good value for money(especially on a Wednesday when it is 2for1!)
Old fashioned Black Country décor to the pub with lots of memorabilia.
BUT
If you are CELIAC the owner of the establishment does not believe in providing you with a true gluten free meal(except for baked potatoes). Chips are cooked in the same fat as all the other chips - even though the menu states that it is gluten free. When questioned about gluten free meals we were told to that my grand daughter would be "alright with a baked potato" !!!! The owner agreed to disagree with our comments on gluten free menu - VERY STRANGE IN THIS DAY AND AGE and stated that we could always BUY him a chip frier to provide gluten free chips - he does not see the point in doing it - it takes too much time to do such a thing and we were told this in a very condescending manner-even when we pointed out that many food establishments cater very well for celiacs and gluten free menus we were told that he would agree to disagree with our case.
A great pity because the place is well worth a visit and the food is great tasting and very traditional - just as long as you do not suffer from being a celiac.

Quality Food and Ales with friendly staff and run by local family people.
Came here for lunch with my Granny and my sister and was blown away by the fantastic value of the £5 lunch menu. Loads of choice and all home cooked, I went for the cottage pie and it was really tasty. Drinks are well priced too with a flute of procescco priced at £2.75. Staff were lovely and helpful and this is a place we have driven past many times but only tried today and would recommend to anyone amazing value, lovely food and nice staff.

I have been a regular for many years & under the old regime of Mel & his staff, the pub was always brilliant.
Tom & his team have very recently taken over & are quickly working up to speed.
The new food menu is now almost equally as good as before with promise of more to come in the near future.
A lot of people cry, it's not the same as before!
People "of a certain age" don't like change but they need to give the place a second visit instead of whingeing about slow service & a different menu. The service, in my experience, is super fast most of the time & when it slows down then we have to be patient because it's a very popular busy venue for lunch.
overall the Bull & Bladder is famous throughout the Midlands for it's excellent beer & good old fashioned style food.
Come & visit this black country pub, eat, drink, chat with the very friendly locals & experience a warm welcome from the staff.
Is this revue biased? Damned right it is because I love it :-)

A nice warm restaurant that takes pride in catering for family's, friends, and the Romantics.
My review is not going to do this place justice, you have to go for yourself!! We go often to spices, pleasant staff, owner is very talkative honest and trusting! Great bar selection, beer (cobra) is always decent, often busy! but busy times you can...MoreThank you very very much for this wonderful review. We really appreciate the fact that you really enjoy our food and service here. We will always try our best to keep it up. Thank you once again. Hope to see you soon.

Went for a family meal, an amazing choice of food and would be impossible not to be spoilt for choice. Just check in discount sites as they always seem to have some offer on so you can get even more for your money. Definitely worth a visit

We left it till last minute to decide to go here New Years Eve. The staff were as per usual fab and got us in at 6.30. Lovely atmosphere food as per usual outstanding and so we're the staff. I really think this is the best curry house in the region. My king prawn bhuna with spinach and chillies was gorgeous. Everyone enjoyed themselves so much. Thank you to all staff. All the best for 2018.

Mexican restaurant offering great cocktails & food including Tex mex / fajitas / breakfast / kids & juniors menu, table service with a great party atmosphere
Haven’t been to this chain for quite a while and won’t be going again. The service was dire with unreasonable waits at every point. The waitress must have been embarrassed as she kept well clear of us. We are pretty lolerant and are prepared to be patient but the service here was appalling. It was busy but nothing excuses such long delays. Added to that, the food was far more average @nd dried out than I remember it. Very disappointing.

As everyone has previously mentioned this pleasantly quaint restaurant in accessed through a Holden's pub just a short distance from Sedgley Town Centre and visitor's should not be put off by this, as it is worthy of a visit.
My partner and I had the early-bird two course meal (before 7pm) which cost £10pp and it was accompanied by a pleasant bottle of white wine (in a cooler bucket) for £9. On the menu it stated that the meals on this deal are smaller that usual and this was true as we found this sufficient for a smaller eater only, a big eater would need to choose from the normal menu which would increase a two course meal by 50%
Having said that our meal was excellent, with four different tasty offerings in the mixed starter and we shared each of our main courses with sticky Jasmine rice. Nothing was left.
It was a quiet night (Tuesday) but the waitress was very pleasant; the service was good; nice background music and a pleasant night.
We will go again
