for almost 20 years in the province of Groningen for Indonesian food and great service. When you enter our Indian restaurant will be a number of things stand out: the more than three hundred wooden temple guards who ensure a balanced atmosphere. Also, you
This small indonesian restaurant is decorated with 100s of tall wooden painted cats and a real indonesian canoe! Very nice and so is the sateh in the special sateh menu that I had. My friends were not as lucky as I was. They had the ârijsttafelâ, with various small indonesian dishes. It was not very special. The rendang was rather tasteless and had only a few pieces of meat. Most dishes were very sweet with little of the other tastes of which the indonesian cuisine is famous for. Dear MrtnVgt,Thanks for your review about our interior. Unfortunately our rijsttafel didn't meet your expectations. Despite that we still would like to invite you to visit our restaurant again. Thanks again,Kind Regards,Javaans Eetcafe
Aanrader

One of those typical all you can eat restaurant, serving sushi and warm dishes. It is located in the middle of the town, and has a small playground for kids. Overall service was friendly.Food served was good, altough not exceptional. Sushi made was fresh. Hot dishes were ok, well sized and not too large. Bami was mediocre.Prices are a bit higher than usual, as for 4 (incl 2 small children) we paid 90 euro
Went out for dinner whilst visiting family in Drenthe. One of our party was vegetarian. My wife and I had one of the set menus, the others chose fom the al a carte menu. The waitress was very helpful, and arranged a vegetarian version of the tomato soup.Surprisingly, there was nobody else in the restaurant - maybe because it was Good Friday. They also do a buffet style - but only on busier days - so check before you go if that is what you want.Food was freshly prepared and good. i especially liked the soup and spicy beef dishes
