This typical dutch word describes the atmosphere. we enjoyed another typical dutch thing : 'poffertjes'. However, though the terrace was 'gezellig', the poffertjes were not that enjoyable. quite tough and chewy instead of melt in the mouth. the coffee was great - the dutch know how to make proper coffee. We had a light meal which were fine. This is place where you can enjoy an excellent cup of coffee or a beer on the terrace when the sun is shining, watch the world go by, and relax and enjoy the ambience.

Wij zijn verschillende malen hier geweest. Gegeten, maar ook voor een drankje op het terras buiten.De bediening is zonder meer vriendelijk.Niet alle dames weten waar ze het over hebben en het lijkt me goed om ook beginnend personeel niet zomaar voor de leeuwen te gooien, als ze onvoldoende weten wat de gerechten van de kaart inhouden. Onzin verkopen moet je niet willen!De salade Nicoise is zeker niet een Nicoise maar een erop lijkende variant. Jammer dat niet het originele recept gehanteerd wordt, maar dat niet vermeld wordt.De keuze is groot en de vleesgerechten waren prima klaargemaakt.Je zit binnen ook gezellig en het geheel ziet er sfeervol uit.

Interesting combination of a pub, mid-end restaurant (e.g. pancakes) and a more high-end brasserie. We opted for 1 luxury mealsize pancake and 1 high-end codfish meal with paksoi and similarly matched vegetables. Were impressed by both: pancake well done with huge toppings, and the brasserie meal was great and beat nextdoor Van der Valk restaurant both in taste and value-for-money! Quick service and friendly staff to top it all up.Thank you for your comment! What a big compliment this is for us! A big thank you from the staff and we hope to see you again!

the restaurant café is located in the centre of Diever next to the ancient church, at the brink (center of the village). We had bife tartare, smokes forel paté and mustard soup as first dishes. Very tasteful and large portions. As a main dish we have chosen Drents weide rund prime steak (2) and ratatouille with brie cheese. all dishes were tasteful, the staff very friendly and nice good cold draft weizenbeer. All in all a remarkable location and wonderful food. Highly recommendable
