A country home away from home! Established in 1642, Denvir's Hotel is steeped in history and is the perfect setting for a relaxing break. Offering old world charm in the heart of Downpatrick, Denvir's has a long tradition of sheltering travellers and will endeavour to ensure that your stay will be a memorable one. Now part of the award winning Botanic Inns group, Denvir’s is the oldest surviving coaching inn in Ireland and is now a grade ‘A’ listed building. The building itself has been extensively and sympathetically renovated while retaining its original character. With six attractive and beautifully restored bedrooms, a restaurant, lounge and snug bars as well as two function rooms for hire; there are many reasons to visit Denvir’s. All of Downpatrick's best historical attractions are located on the same road as Denvirs. St Patricks Grave, The Catherdral and the Gaol are all located on English Street. So we're in the heart of the action! We look forward to welcoming you to Denvir's Hotel.
Hotel was in center of Downpatrick, stones throw from cathedral. Down side, no car park had to park at side of the road. Booked room online and it was a newly refurbished area. When we got there room was not at hotel but 200 yards away from hotel. It was a converted house with a locked gate. Felt very uneasy and no phone to contact hotel if any thing happened. Room was indeed spotless although noise from traffic was horrendous. We could watch our TV with the volume down and listen to next room TV. Walls seem very thin as we could hear next room mobile phone going off and could hear every word they said. Breakfast was good, although no decaff coffee available, staff very helpful and welcoming. Would i stay again? Probably not

"A Hidden treasure....a real find" Irish Times Not just 'a country house' this is our family home. We are delighted to extend its warmth to all our visitors from Ireland and around the world. Ballymote delights in continuing the best of that renowned country house tradition, informal and apparently effortless hospitality. We understand just how valuable our guests' free time is with today's hectic way of life. That's why, from the moment you arrive, we make sure the outside world feels a world away. Ballymote is as restful, or as relaxingly active, as you want it to be. Your only decision will be how you want to enjoy yourself next! "No where nicer than Ballymote...... Resplendent, elegantly faded charm, blissful beds and great cooking from Nicola are the Ballymote signatures". 100 Best Places to Stay in Ireland Bridgestone Guide. We pride ourselves on our breakfasts; apart from the de rigeur Ulster fry (ours has sausages made by a local butcher to our family recipe and 8 or so other things on the platter) we offer homemade jams, (3 or 4 different types), local honey, fruit from the garden and masses of other delicious things. It will set you up for a day of exploring! One of the many extraordinary things about County Down is the extraordinary amount it offers for visitors to do! But never forget that while at Ballymote, simply doing nothing is as good a way to pass your time as any! We are in the heart of St. Patrick's country; it is an ideal base for exploring one of the most historically and culturally rich parts of Ireland, with wonderful gardens, challenging world renowned links golf courses, spectacular mountains, deserted coastline and unspoilt countryside for walking and horse riding. Come and experience it ... relax, enjoy, above all make yourself at home! Ballymote..... Enthusiastically dedicated to your relaxation. James and Nicola Manningham-Buller
We stayed one night with Nicola and James in their wonderful home. We were treated to superb food, interesting conversations and genuine warmth. Our room was lovely, furnished with period furniture and probably the most comfortable bed ever! This B&B is a gem and the owners have created a unique charm and eccentricity which is to be commended.

The Mulberrys is a beautiful Tourism NI accredited, 5 star Scores on the Doors, Bed and Breakfast in the heart of County Down just 5 minutes from the Village of Crossgar and 30 minutes from Belfast Perfect for guests attending weddings at Tullyveery House, Finnebrogue Woods and Montalto Estate and for exploring the best County Down has to offer
My husband had an 8am appointment at Downe Hospital on Saturday the 30th October so we travelled the previous day and stayed at the Mulberrys. The owner, Isobel, could not have been more attentive even to the extent of picking us up in Crossgar to take us to her beautiful home. The attention to detail is second to none. Everything is spotlessly clean and our room was spacious with a lovely en suite. We will be recommending this wee gem to family and friends. Thank you for all your kindness. The world needs more people like Isobel!! Myrtle and Charlie Young. ??

Cannot say enough for my hosts here. I was made to feel very welcome and offered plenty of advice and help as someone relocating to the area. Lovely warm home clean and welcoming. Everything you could want in a guest house with lots of other little touches (the mini muffins in the room were a life saver after a long drive) Cannot recommend this guest house enough. The welcome of the Irish at its best

We had a brilliant cosy stay in the Shepherd's hut which is in the gardens of the Nutgrove House. You have everything you could need. The wood burning fire makes it very cosy and if your not confident with using that don't worry there is also electric heating. We had a warm welcome from Richard, Caroline and Gatsby the dog. We picked a good time to stay, the spring daffodils are starting to bloom which is beautiful in the gardens and grounds around the house. Breakfast was fantastic, especially the home made bread! We would highly recommend the Nutgrove House and also the Bucks head Inn in Clough for food and drinks.

Tyrella House is very special for many reasons, not least because of its great setting on the coast of County Down with great walks, a beautiful coastline and terrific views. The house itself is lovely and its great to see what John and his family are doing to maintain this wonderful period dwelling which deserves to be cherished. We were made to feel so welcome, with a super dinner on the first evening we arrived that it really felt like a home from home. Even Wallace the dog made us feel at home.
