Spent a few nights in Dover, tried various local takeaways via the just eat app and tried to eat my way through dry rubbery kebabs and simply dreadful Chinese from other establishments but Ghurkha takeaway what a revelation. Really nice tasty authentic food, delivered on time as ordered. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Give it a try.

Thought we would try Saffron as a change from our regular takeaway given the good TA reviews. We had the meal for two with extra samosas. Overall we were not really impressed. Positives, the onion bhajis and dupiaza were tasty. Negatives, the whole meal was warm not hot, Rogan gosh was really chewy, the naan was also very chewy, we had the impression that the meal was probably cooked and ready 30 minutes before leaving the restaurant. The samosas, really poor value, it was the smallest portion I have ever seen. Overall disappointing, fortunately there is much better in town, don't think we will be using again

The service was friendly and prompt and we enjoyed lovely spicy vegetable dishes, however the lamb in the Rogan Josh was not tender or enjoyable and this let the whole experience down. Although the vegetable dishes were really above average the meat was poor and we will probably not return x

We had such a wonderful meal in Cinnamon Island tonight, the food is absolutely delicious and the staff are so attentive and friendly. My partner had the poppadoms to start and I had the tikka paneer, they were both delicious and the dips with the poppadoms were particularly good. The mains were amazing and the murgh makhani is my new favourite curry, so so so tasty! Finished off with a coffee and then complimentary baileys and mints, what more could you ask for? Definitely give this place a try, you wonât regret it.

I had poppadums and onion bhajis on my order, so asked to make sure mint yoghurt was added. When it wasnât i questioned why and the little waiter responded it comes at an extra cost. Since when in all the Indians Iâve ever been too s mint yoghurt come at an extra cost when ordering onion bhajis. It never does, I questioned this and was told Iâd have to pay, so i said just give me my money back as the man was quite rude, quite silly really as the food was cooked and one pot of yogurt and the order was wasted, some might say Iâm over the top, but i have principles and stick by them. Iâve only heard good things about this restaurant so was a shame I didnât get to try it, i wonât bother returning now as i walked around the corner and had a fabulous take away from Calcutta Port, it was fantastic and they gave 20% off as i collected. Probably the best Indian Iâve ever had.Dear Mr Smith thanks for your review we are really sorry for your experience but would like to point out few things You ordered a meal deal for two if ordered individually it comes to £30 plus but with this deal you only were paying £22.95 so we already lost £7.05Out of this £22.95 just eat takes 17% commission so another £3.90. Ingredients for the meal around £13 than staff wages, our bills. We know itâs only a dip but it clearly tells you on just eat that you have to pay for it. We are already giving you a great deal with this set menu and hardly are making any money if after all this we refuse to give more extras for free you could understand why. We donât like loosing customer either but if a customer request for a free stuff itâs difficult sometimes when you are hardly making any money out of this set menu deal.

Situated on the A258, The Swingate Inn, set in beautiful, peaceful countryside, is the perfect place for a relaxing break, whether an overnight stop before continuing a journey via the Channel Tunnel, SeaCat or Ferry Terminals or a visit to the area to ex
Having read the reviews I was looking forward to this visit with friends. My first impressions were good, the restaurant looked inviting and the open kitchen certainly adds interest. The menu is a little different from the usual Indian restaurants so I was tempted to experiment. I found the paneer starter lacked any depth of flavour - I could taste chilli and onion but nothing more subtle. I chose a prawn curry for my main because the four line description made it sound rather special. How disappointing then to be presented with a dish containing only 8 small prawns in a rather overpowering sauce which did nothing to complement the prawns. I do not consider this to be adequate for a main meal.My friends said they enjoyed their food but I was left rather deflated, not to mention hungry! I shanât be rushing back.
