Reviewed By Katya VThis was a great little hotel in the centre of Dortmund. Convenient, clean, quiet, and most importantly, with a great cafe. The cafe opened early (6:30 Monday - Saturday, I think 8 on Sundays), which was very convenient for that first tea/coffee of the day. They did a good range of drinks, cakes, sandwiches as well as a full continental for €10. I can highly recommend their muesli, which I believe is made in house. The staff were all very accommodating and spoke good English.

spacious room, decent sleep
Reviewed By Sinishasroom was spacious, and bathroom was ok, you can have a decent sleep. The only minus would be because I had to wait for the check in at 3pm, though I had a notion that there were empty rooms. But you encounter a machine in which you need to check in, and check out, so I had to call the staff to help me since I had to pay in cache. The location is fine, not far from train which takes you to the Dortmund main station, as well as not far away from bus which takes you to the airport. For some reason my apple laptop had a problem to sign into wifi.

Reviewed By AstroblemWir aßen spontan im Overkamp. Gute regionale Karte, aber nur wenig Auswahl für Vegetarier. Der Service war gut, aber unsere beiden Essen kamen um fast 10 Minuten zeitversetzt, was nicht gut ist. Hinsicht der Coronaentwicklung fand ich die augenscheinlichen Hygienebemühungen fragwürdig. Tische und Stühle wurden beim Gästewechsel nicht desinfiziert. Salz- und Pfefferstreuer wanderten zwischen den Tischen und Gästen hin und her. Keine Ahnung, welche Maßnahmen zur Hygiene noch (nicht) getroffen wurden. Es wirkte nicht besonders vertrauenerweckend. Ambiente ist in Ordnung. Schöner großer Außenbereich.

Heating was off in November. I came back sick.
Reviewed By tkirillovaThe place was sparkling clean and spotless. Bathroom was clean and freshly renovated. Room was nice and cozy, with teapot and coffee machine and supplies to make tea and coffee (the cups were single use carton cups though). I even had a small balcony. The place is 5 min walk from metro Station Funkenburg, which is short rife from Dortmund hbf. The only few things i would like to point out are: 1) there is no elevator, so if you have heavy baggage, prepare to bring it upstairs through the stairs yourself. 2) in the morning I found it very cold, the heating seems being off, while it was November. I came back sick. 3) the check in process is via pin code on the main door and on the room door, so it is 24/7 self service. On one side, it means you never ran into the situation when you arrive late and there is nobody to let you in. On the other side, if you need anything, there is no one to ask, since there is no reception. No one to ask to call you a taxi or to bring anything. 4) I did not see any restaurant

Reviewed By Tom HIf I am going to be honest, first impression of this place was not good! The fact that it is above a curry house didn't bode well! Once we got in and got into our room I was surprised! Inside the room it was clean and decent, which looked like it had recently been done up. Bed was comfortable and room clean. If your literally looking for somewhere to sleep that is central id give this place a go!
