Our charming 16th-century coaching inn transports you to the pages of a Thomas Hardy novel. Featured in Tess of the d’Urbervilles, our atmospheric inn boasts old beams, oak panelling, roaring fires and an original skittle alley. The beautiful rural setting in the heart of the Dorset countryside is complemented by our warm, attentive service and fine local cuisine.
A wee gem of an Inn, located in a very leafy village. Food is outstanding and the rooms very comfortable. But what makes the Acorn stand out is the staff. Brilliant people! It’s wrong to single any one person out but Thomas is a champion. A very pleasant place to spend a few days.

With a new team, and having undergone a recent refurbishment of various rooms and public spaces, we are excited to welcome guests to experience our stylish luxury new interiors and five-star service. Located on Bournemouth's Westcliff, with views out to sea, the hotel offers 54 newly refurbished bedrooms and suites, an outstanding restaurant, bar and terrace, as well as tranquil garden spaces, a pool and access down on to the beach ... voted the fifth-best beach in Europe.
Lovely decor in hotel and nice vibe but we were not made aware prior to booking that there was extensive works happening on site. The car park, which is already extremely small, had even less space due to the workmen’s vans and spaces being taken up by cement mixer (and other construction tools). We were also told into the second day of our stay that the dining room would be closed on Thursday evening (which we later found out was due to the official launch party) however, again, this was not disclosed prior to booking. The rooms are not cheap and such information should have been disclosed before accepting our booking request. It has the potential to be luxurious accommodation once all works are finished but it’s a shame we came during a period of site works. I would have rethought our stay should I have been made aware.

What can I can about this amazing B&B. I have been a travel agent for 15 years , and now I work in a 5star hotel and I must say this place is something special. I did my normal 4 hour search to find the perfect place for an overnight (50th)getaway and I found it. Jonathan and Karen are the perfect hosts, and check-in was a breeze, they made us feel very special . We stayed in the deluxe King with a balcony. Omg, what a room and the most amazing view. We sat on the balcony sipping bubbles looking at the water.... Bliss. This is a real little find, it's a must. Do yourself a favor and go, we will be going soon for sure. Thank-you for an amazing stay.

We are an independent, family-run hotel renowned for excellent hospitality and quality products. Our location is on The Esplanade so perfect for the sandy beach and the town centre that is behind the hotel. We offer the option of Continental Breakfast between 8am and 10am which includes award-winning breads, fresh juices, pastries baked every morning, yoghurts, cereals, fresh fruit and accompanied with Barista Coffee or Dorset Tea. There are many attractions along the Jurassic Coast easily accessible from Weymouth so The Alexandra is a great place to base yourself. We also have parking permits for Zone F close to the hotel for on-street parking for free. Both the car park and permits are subject to availability. There is a large Council-run car park called The Pavilion that is free between 6pm and 8am and is very close to the Alexandra. We have recently opened Postcards Cafe Bar where you can enjoy your favourite drink or enjoy Barista Coffee with cake and sit out on our sea-facing terrace.
This was our first stay in Weymouth. We could not have picked a better hotel to stay in. The staff are very friendly and helpful nothing is to much trouble. The room was very clean and comfortable. All in all a very enjoyable stay would be happy to recommend.

We stayed for 4 nights to celebrate our pre honeymoon and emailed ahead to ask for an upgrade . We was advised unfortunately there were no other rooms available but they had put down some rose petals and received a complimentary drink which made it felt special. So well done for taking down note. Lovely period hotel with a gorgeous outdoor pool area and close to everything. Staff are friendly, but our neighbors woke us at 2am with a loud tele so as he was ignoring our knock s ,I called to reception to ask for help to which they called but no answer . Person from night reception then went out of his way to come up and speak with tele person which solved the loud tele, so thank u very much. Food is excellent!! As well as the breakfast, suberp .Very good hotel , friendly staff, excellent pool area and good food only downside is the overdue bed , our stay was ruined somewhat with the lumpy uncomfortable bed so could not sleep much. Please look to get a new bed in room 222 and maybe could do with an decor update throughout, but apart from that great facilities, food and friendly staff

Discover all Bournemouth and the coast has to offer from the Hampton by Hilton. Located minutes walk to Bournemouth world famous 7 mile beach promenade. Stay at the Hampton and enjoy easy access and connections to the bustling town centre, the Bournemouth International Centre, its many galleries and museums. For the diserning travellers wishing to explore the entire coastline, the hotel is only a short drive from Southampton, Poole, and The Isle of Wight, and just minutes away from the famous New Forest Park.
On arrival , Holly and Calla could not have made us feel more welcome. They shared ideas of what to do , showed me the primark short cut when I asked (very important ?) and went though all the facilities of the hotel including what times were busiest for breakfast etc. The room was gorgeous and the child’s bed was made up, usually it’s not at some hotels and we have to move quite a few times. There are fixed dispensers on shower wall with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The water is so soft you don’t need a lot. Hairdryer is decent and not one of those annoying ones you have to keep your finger on. Bed was lovely but only a child could sleep on camp bed and you can’t sit on camp bed as it has metal rods everywhere that hurt ! The breakfast was varied, hash browns, sausages, bacon, tomatoes and only scrambled egg (maybe you could ask for fried or poached?) The bread was so soft and I seen a sign to ask for gluten free bread. They had fresh fruits, yogurt, cereals including those porridge pots you add water to. The coffee was so nice but I realised on day 2 when I got it myself that’s it half milk half coffee so extra calories !! They had pastries and I don’t know what they are called, cinnamon rolls maybe with different flavours and mini raisin croissants . They had a waffle maker that made fantastic waffles but they were tasteless although there were bottles of chocolate sauce and raspberry coulis. The carpark is an absolute nightmare, unless you are a confident and experienced driver you will struggle with tiny spaces and concrete pillar. The NCP is a few minutes away BUT if you struggle to walk it’s a bit of a slight steep hill from NCP to hotel so best take luggage in a few trips if you decide to park at NCP. Odeon cinema and mulligans golf is 3 min walk and tonnes of eateries like TGIF , Nando’s, carter and miller etc. shops are around 5-10 min walk and beach is around 10 min walk through lower gardens which is beautiful. Honestly felt the warm welcome just set us up and would like Holly and especially Calla get a shout out by the Hilton, they are a credit to you. Everyone at the hotel is so helpful and friendly. Thank you

The Marsham Court Hotel Bournemouth is a privately owned Hotel and run by the same family for almost 35 years. The hotel has been undergoing a huge refurbishment programme for bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas with the main restaurant being totally redesigned in January 2018 and the main ballroom along with several meeting rooms, reception and bar completed in early 2019. The front of the hotel was completely refurbished during the last 2 years, with new balconies and our terrace being raised to allowed a purpose built accessible lift at the front of the hotel so our guests can enjoy the views and have easier access to the routes into town. We boast some of the best sea views in Bournemouth across to the Isle of Wight, Sandbanks, Swanage and Isle of Purbeck. We have just added a changing places and sensory room and are adapting our front entrance to make it accessible for all. 2 of our bedrooms have been upgraded with hoists and profiling beds to assist our guests that need more assistance. We have also added a hoist to our outside pool ready for Summer 2022. So why not come in and try for yourself?
