We have stayed in Diever regularly over the last few years and always call in for a family lunch or afternoon snack. Good value and helpful staff with English spoken and help given with the menu. Family freindly with a Terrace to watch the world go by.

Dwingerloo has quite a few attractive looking restaurants, but we choose this one due to its location over looking the Brink (which is a bit like a village green). This turned out to be a good choice. Its a pleasant grand cafe, with friendly staff. We had the selection of seafood starters, which turned out to be a good choice. Excellent quality and not expensive.

This is a restaurant with a very cosy feel over it. The lay out is spacious and the furniture feels like home. Staff is friendly and the food is honest and (if possible) from local farmers. The menu is not very big end things tend to be sold out between ordering and serving we experienced. But in Dwingeloo probabely the best place to have diner. Its the kind of place where you dont feel like leaving after you ate desert...and take another drink.

We went to rural Dwingeloo for one night and didn't want to eat at the hotel (see my other review). Riete had one Tripadvisor review, was nearby and has a decent looking website.
The soup for starters was nice. The bread fresh. The Aioli was weird; it looked and tasted suspiciously similar to Calve garlic sauce from a jar. We were a bit indecisive and asked the waitress if the cook could bring us a selection of 9 tapas. They brought out the dishes in sets of three, which was nice, starting with the cold ones. Again the sauces seemed to be coming for the supermarket and not made by the chef. The overall quality was nice though.
The two waitresses were correct, fast (and pretty). Only not really hospitable. A little informal talk would have been welcoming. The atmosphere was good, the (spot)lights were a bit bright.
Price-wise Riete does alright. We paid 80 euro's for three people. Charging (a little) money for tab-water seems a bit demeaning. Be there before 20.00u, or you will be denied service (kitchen closes)!
Overall not bad, but not memorable.

This is a hotel-restaurant in the center of Dwingeloo, opposite the church. I have not slept there but have heard its very good. I visit the restaurant every now and then for either lunch or a snakc or coffee. I think the ambiance is excellent. Inside are many cosy coeners and tables to sit and relax, and outside they have a nice Terrace with tables and chairs but also with nice lounge-benches. Absolutely good foor. I can only recommend this place.

Located so well at the Brink in Dwingeloo the new and upgraded 'De Zaagkoele' does offer a fine range of meals and drinks at several floors at choice in the farm house. A la cart or drinks and snacks are available, well served from a sound kitchen. Vegetarian meals are available as well!!

De Huiskamer ("the lounge room") has been there for over 30 years albeit with another name. The new owners have made it into a welcoming place with a cosy indoor area and outdoor dining - weather permitting. The food is very good, the prices reaonable and the service professional and friendly. what more can you want?

About 16.00 hrs we landed on the Terrace in the center of beautiful Diever, a place where quite some traffic is passing but meanwhile a cosy place to be 4/5. There were some more people, the Terrace was almost occupied. We ordered a tea, hot Chocolate with cream, mushroom soup and apple pie with cream 4/5. The service was friendly and the waiting time short, about 6 minutes 5/5. Refreshed we continued our journey 4/5.

China Garden offers consistently good Indo-Chinese food at affordable prices. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is very good. Outdoor dining in the front of the restaurant is very nice in the warm seasons and the interior of the restaurant is super clean with a very nice ambience. Abundant parking. Buffet also available, as is take-away dining. You cannot beat China Garden for quality, service, ambience, and price.
