Traditional hotel where the family of the famous writer Victor Hugo stayed during their visits in Vianden. Charming house, completely renovated, gourmet restaurant with chimney, lounge bar, rooms with shower, bath or jacuzzi, wellness center, terrace in the garden with view to the castle, free Wifi
Nice little place. The 1 person room is like a dorm room with 2 twin beds (my company booked us wrong). They felt bad for us and upgraded us to rm 302 after 1 night and it was great! Be prepared, no coffee machine in rooms and be sure to bring your own soap, shampoo and conditioner (provided stuff is Spartan). Traffic and night party noise is intense when windows are open but that’s part of the “atmosphere”. Restaurant is very nice and an older crowd. Overall it is a great stay. We’ll be back.

We spent one night in this nice hotel during a business trip in Ardennes. Kind service, nice rooms, bathroom new and well equipped and great breakfast. Hotel is located in the middle of this city, a couple of hundred meters from the Cathedral and the castle. Prive was excellent

Guests can make free use of the spa center. All rooms at Hotel du Commerce have a TV, a telephone, and a private bathroom. Some rooms have a bathroom with a spa bathtub.Guests can enjoy international gourmet dishes in the restaurant, L'Ecureuil, which also has an extensive wine cellar. The spa center offers a wide variety of health and beauty treatments, including hot stone massages. It also has a sauna, a spa bathtub, and a Turkish bath.Museum The Family of Man is less than a 5 minute walk away. The train station in Clervaux is just half a mile away.
One of the best 3* hotels I had been in. Room is relatively small and somewhat outdated but very convenient to spend a night or two. The bed is soft, exactly how I like and the soundproof level met my expectations, yet I’m quite picky about it and the sleep quality in general. Even thought the breakfast in bed is a temporary pandemic measure, I personally consider it as a free room service bonus. And the breakfast itself perfectly satisfies the need in morning energy, combining sweet and salt components. We were the only sauna and swimming pool visitors and could fully enjoy the relaxing experience. Nothing fancy, but satisfactory by far.

If you like to be in action ...to meet friends... these are the primordial desires of our guests. Between Ardennes, Felsenland Sudeifel and Mullerthal - Luxembourgs Little Switzerland, at the center of the Luxembourg-German Natural Reserve, our traditional family-run hotel, with "a la carte" restaurant, welcomes you for a pleasant and a recreativ stay in our comfortable rooms. Quietly situated in an unspoiled enchanting countryside we invite you to discover our new hiking path, the Mullerthal-Trail, which impress with walls with deep cracks, mazes of caves, bubbling waterfalls, vast headlands and petrified pinnacles and pins, here the nature still holds the reins and controls the region's sporting activities: climbing, cycling, and quad-biking tracks, rafting on the Sure, pedalos on Echternach lake, waterskiing on the Rosport dam, organised guided walks with a picnic in the forests and a chance to discover the flora and the fauna specific to this microclimate which has established itself among the rock formations. ...my opinion... one of the most attractive hiking-areas of Europe ! The medieval towns Vianden and Echternach, the old Roman settlement Trier and the Beer-City Bitburg, invites you to explore more than 600 km Cycling-Routes and Mountainbike tracks. Also for Motobikers, we are your adres in Luxemburg. Have you been courious ? .......This was our impurpes. New !!! - Wonderful located Campsite on the Sauer-riverside.
The staff were friendly and the surrounding countryside was nice, but the hotel location couldn't take advantage of that. We had a recently refurbished small ground floor room, but it was directly on a very busy, noisy road. There was no air conditioning, so it was a choice of a lot of noise, or a hot, stuffy room. On a hot summer night it would be IMPOSSIBLE. Luckily the bed was comfortable, so eventually able to sleep. The charge of €17 each for breakfast we felt FAR overpriced. It was definitely not a rich choice breakfast that could command that level charge. Only 2 warm items, they were not too good either, poor filtered coffee, no espresso etc... It was all minimum, minimum. It was definitely not worth more than 10€. We have stayed in many hotels and this was the least value for money breakfast we have had. However when you considered the €105 room price and €34 for breakfast, the €139 total was quite an overcharge comparing it to a similar room, in similar hotels in Luxemburg. We were somewhat disappointed.

We stayed two nights in this very comfortable hotel. The room had a big bed and balcony with a table and chairs and a view of the old town walls and hills. The bathroom was small with a shower stall but good water pressure so it was good. Breakfast is not included but very good for 12€. Parking is also not included and there are only about 8 spaces but it is good to book one. They have a bar that is open until 8 pm and drinks can be taken into their nice garden area. The owners are staff are very friendly and helpful with suggestions about travel and restaurants.

Cosy family run hotel in the center of the medieval town of Vianden. Gastronomic restaurant and pizzeria with wood fired oven, large terras, comfort- and luxury 4**** rooms, private parking, lift. Fitness center, sauna, solarium. Our guest may use for free the indoor pool 14x6m. + whirlpool and spa in hotel belle-vue (100 meters from the petry).
We drove all the way from Bruges, through Brussels and Wallonia, and then some German fields dusted with snow. Luxembourg appeared out of nowhere on the crest of a wooded hill, and then Vianden five mins after that. On a cold day, Hotel Petry was a warm suite with a chateau-style window that looked out across the river valley and the tiny town clinging to it. Hotel Petry is one of those places you only seem to get in the Rhineland, where everything's pretty but not showy, and everything works. The beds are soft and the showers are hot and strong. The staff all speak English and three other languages. The restaurant serves good quality local dishes, and the beer goes down unpretentiously well. It's quite literally two doors along from Victor Hugo's House, and after around 90 mins visiting inside we walked across the bridge and up the cobbled hill as gentle snowflakes started to fall. We'll go back again one of these Winters, in the hope that we can have another evening like it.

We wanted to spend a relaxing weekend in Luxembourg... The Clervaux is a nice hotel, the room (duplex Suite) was great and clean. However, the staff was absolutely not friendly or helpful. Quiet disappointing for an hotel of this level. Finally, the Spa worth a visit.

We were planning to stay two nights in a cottage suite. Upon arrival the staff was very kind, and we enjoyed a nice dinner at the restaurant. Unfortunately the next morning we noticed mold in the second room and on the curtains in the main bedroom. Also in general the room was not very clean and the floor tacky We didn't opt for a new room but instead asked to cancel our second night which was no problem.
