The greatest perk of the restuarant is a beatufiul view on the Taumadhi square. The food is good, although a bit pricey.

Sadly, we had an almost in edible meal here. We ordered fried rice (which was burned) and a Newari set meal (cold and lacking nice spice and flavor. It was the first day of the festival and likely help was hard to find. The service was good and the rooftop view nice.

The culinary delights here range from Newari and Nepali Dal Bhat to Chinese, Mexican, Italian, Indian and Continental delicacies. And when comes the question of the quality of our culinary offerings. We never forget Hygiene is our top priority. Adding to the mesmerizing ambience, we also have min-garden from which you can savor the splendor of nature's graciousness all around on the south, the bliss you feel at Shiva's cafe corner is something different. We do have Himalayan organice beans, instant, and filter coffee and also available italian LAVAZZA coffee. With additional different flavours of organice herbal tea.
I can’t actually review the food because they weren’t serving any. October is peak tourist season in Nepal & this restaurant is part of a hotel & in Durbar Sq but they were only serving drinks. October is basically a month of festivals in Nepal & having been here 2 months I know businesses struggle to keep their staff over festival time but if you are in the top 5 on trip advisor then this isn’t acceptable, find replacements or do it yourself.

Enjoy the hearty meals enjoying the beauty of nature in Terrace or inside the restaurant with free wifi.
We came here for lunch. Monsoon season so most of the view was cloud(!) but we still appreciated the panoramic nature of it. The staff were friendly and the food was tasty. I especially enjoyed the chocolate pancake (we asked to have it with banana whicn was amazing).
My partner was really impressed by the size of the carrot and Apple salad. Simple but tasty.
The toilet wasn't great.

There are not many folk in the world that can say “let’s have lunch in Dhulikhel” and then get in the car and go to do just that…
Yesterday was Sunday and a beautiful October day in Nepal to boot. Hoping to catch a glimpse of the elusive Himalaya, my wife and I jumped in the car and drove out to Dhulikhel, about 35 km from our Kathmandu home. Our destination was the Dhulikhel Mountain Resort and its Sayapatri Restaurant.
The road to Dhulikhel is not bad but is interesting in the way that many things in Nepal are interesting. We arrived at Dhulikhel Mountain Resort right at noon and found a place along the side of the road to park. There’s no parking lot so we just had to squeeze the car in somewhere. A friendly gentleman greeted us and watched as we locked the car. As we started towards the stairs that lead to the resort, the gentleman picked up a fist-sized rock and headed towards our car. My wife grimaced, expecting the next thing to be the sound of breaking glass. Instead, our new friend bent over and put the rock in front of the car’s rear tire, a helpful attempt to keep our ride from rolling down the hill during lunch.
We headed up the stairs, past the open air front desk and onto the restaurant’s Terrace where we were greeted by a white-jacketed waiter. After choosing a table near the edge of the Terrace, the waiter moved an umbrella so we would have shade. We peered at the Panorama that spread out before us and saw…clouds! The view of the valley before us, though beautiful, lacked the majestic Himalaya that we knew were out there. But then, we noticed, poking above the clouds, the tips of jagged, snow-capped peaks. It was enough to know that on a clearer day, the view would be spectacular.
Lunch was enjoyable and our impression of the Sayapatri Restaurant and the resort of which it is a part was all positive. The food was good, the resort clean and well-run, the service good and the surroundings delightful. We’ll certainly be back the next time the weather is clear and we’re in the mood for a good lunch and a Himalayan view.

Two different cakes, one really miserable, other one a bit better but nothing great either.
Grilled cheese Sandwich also cant recommend. All tasted a bit artificial, cheap, no good spices etc.
Pity because it did look like a nice little cafe with great location.
I dont know how is the coffee here (cant have any caffeine) but foodwise its something you can skip. Dont get seduced by the menu or cakes in the glass showcase..

I travel back and forth from Banepa quite a lot, and this restaurant is a great addition to the limited hygienic food scene in the city. While ambience is lacking, Newa Kitchen serves great staples of local Newari cusine and beloved Nepali snacks - momo, chowmein, etc. Recommended!

Peaceful restaurant is nicely located tranquil restaurant in Bhaktapur. It is developed in a very historic building and in a yard at Dattatrya square where you can hear the sounds of plate and cutleries and bird sounds.I recommend this restaurant to any one visiting Bhaktapur. I suggest to start sightseeing from Bhaktapur durbar square, pottery square, taumadhi square. local market walking to peaceful restaurant Dattatraya to have the delicious lunch. Perfect place to dine for all who stays in Bhaktapur town. After dinner you have a nice few minutes walk to your accommodations.

We came here for drinks. I had the iced mocha and my partner had an espresso. Apparently it was the best espresso she has ever had, it was roasted perfectly without tasting burnt. The small piece of chocolate and walnut cake that came with it complemented it perfectly. The iced mocha was really good and made with very good quality coffee. The ice cream on top was very tasty.
The establishment was clean, including the toilets, and the staff were friendly. It was a nice space to spend some time and there were power sockets and WiFi though we did not use them.
