Husband and I stopped in here for dinner in mid June. We were in town for the Lincoln Highway convention. We heard they had good food and desserts. It is kind of a run down looking place with a small and limited menu. Hardly anyone was in the place except a group of people in the back room and a few other couples.
Menus looked old and worn. The place looked like it could use a good sprucing up. The lady at the front desk just looked at us when we walked in and said nothing. I finally said we had not been there before and should we seat ourselves. She then disappeared and I saw others come to pay and wait a while. We waited a long time before the one waitress came up to us and apologized for the wait, she said she did not know a large party of people would be coming in. We finally got menus, water and she disappeared. I saw her waiting on the large group and we sat for a long time and finally got up and left. Apparently there was no one else waiting tables that night. We did not want to be there for the entire evening. We then went to the Majestic Hills Bar and Grill upon a recommendation. We had good service, good food and better looking place.

This is a counter only location with picnic tables outside for you to eat at. They have 10 people on average working so service is fast. Food is named after places. Denison burger would be a slider, Nebraska Land.... the onion straws and fries are fantastic and food is always fresh. If you pay extra to add tomatoes make sure you don't get the end. The part normal people throw away. Definitely catch them in the high schools prom night. At least 200 kids show up in formal atire to eat.

Had lunch here with a friend yesterday . We were there at opening and seated right away. Ordered drinks and asked for a couple minutes to figure our order. Waitress went and started filling out specials board and finally glanced our way 10 minutes later and I motioned we wanted to order. They need to remember lunches are usually time concious! Order came out a bit later and was good, but not authentic! Nowhere on Mexico do they use pre-fab hard taco shells. My Chile relleno was good. Service could be better as booths are tall and visability is limited so servers need to circulate more often.

Fish on Friday buffet for lent was very good. Dislike packets of tartar sauce over bulk in salad bar. Ordered personal pizza with kraut on it but could have used much more kraut on it. Dessert pizzas were slow to get replenished.

I had dinner here at around 5p on Monday, 7 August 2017. The chips & salsa were better than at most places, and the plate of chicken enchiladas (with rice, beans, & salad) was generous-sized, delicious, and reasonably priced. How nice to find a mini-Mexican enclave in a small Western Iowa town.
Note that they don't take credit cards and that getting a receipt takes special effort.

This place had a little placard in my room with some menu options and "delivery". I ordered a small with my favorite toppings of which they had all, pepperoni, mushrooms, green olives and real bacon. I also ordered small order of boneless wings. The placard also boasts "french crusts". They said it would be about 30 minutes, it actually took about 45, the delivery driver apologized. The pizza was still a little warm but I had some interference and didnt get to eat for an hour anyways and that was the great thing about it. This pizza was really really good even at room temperature. A sweet sauce, appropriate amount of toppings and that crust...really is something special. Ate it all with no toppings. The boneless wings, looked more like chicken nuggets, not impressive to look at but, meaty and good after all. Will definitely order from here again at least one night if I return. Thanks Breadeaux.

Hillside is the most modern, non-fast food restaurant in Denison. It is conveniently located next to the new Boulders Inn on the west side of town. I eat there regularly and enjoy their food. Wing Night is Thursday nights and features a number of styles of wings and pitchers (including Angry Orchard which they have on tap) for less than a bottle costs in the city.
I am glad they are there and enjoy eating there.

If I remember right, that's the actual name of one of their menu selections. Sausage, bacon, (ham?), eggs, hash browns and toast. Nothing screams farm country better than that.
An order of blueberry pancakes fills the entire plate. Everything we were served for breakfast was delicious!
It was fun to join our family at this restaurant and hear the waitress ask, "You're usual?" That's just one example of how the "Family Table" makes you feel welcome.

Went here three times with family and had burgers and fries, chicken, hot beef, salad bar and sunrise breakfasts. Everything was very good except the soup wasn't hot. Servers were friendly and accommodating. We visited with relatives and they didn't seem to mind that we stayed longer.

Stayed at the Boulders Inn and Suites at the Majestic Hills Golf Course. Rode our motorcycle and the weather was threatening to storm so we decided to eat at the golf course club house. Best decision we could have made. The bar/dining area is very nice. Wide range of food choices. The tenderloin sandwich was HUGE...consider sharing it! Very good salad buffet available. Steaks available on the menu also. Service was very good.
