Reviews on Asian food in Georgetown, Demerara-Mahaica, Guyana. Although not a crowded Caribbean tourist spot, Georgetown is a unique city that serves as a perfect jumping point for ecotours into the South American interior. Its Victorian and Dutch Colonial architecture is detailed with louvered window shutters and brick and stone work. Built below the high tide level, the city is protected by a large seawall and drained by a grid of canals. Sundry goods can be found at the distinctive Stabroek Market, while the landmark Light House offers panoramic views.

Blended with rich exotic colors that create a memorable experience which denotes a true Chinese culture.Order a meail from our extended menu or just sit back and relax on our patio, sip on a drink created by our experience bartenders and create fusion wit
I would say this restaurant is nothing special. It is on sheriff street in the same building as buddy's gym, pool hall, and nite club. The service is average, food is good but nothing special. To me there is no difference between this and the other chinese restaurants in Guyana (except new thriving, which is better) with respect to the food. As expected, food doesn't take too long after ordering, the atmosphere is pretty ok, and they have a private room if you are interested (for an extra cost which I totally don't get). Prices are very reasonable.

While on a business trip to Georgetown, I was driving back to the hotel and saw this restaurant, so decided to go there for dinner later that night. While the service needs improvement the food was excellent. There were two of us for dinner and we both enjoyed the dishes that we had ordered. The decor of the restaurant is relatively simple but it is clean and you can see the cooks while they prepare your meal.

I have been to the restaurant on several other occasions and I was never disappointed. The hospitable staff, the slamming cocktails and the mouth-watering dishes are all just the perfect combination to make your experience at XIE XIE a memorable one. Whatever you do you, just make sure to ALWAYS order the Asian BBQ.

Having been to China and eaten at good restaurants there we were able to compare the N.T. food with what we experienced elsewhere and it came out tops. The restaurant above the Massy supermarket had the better ambience but the food was good in both places. The staff friendly and helpful, even to the extent of advising us to order just one bowl of Wanton soup instead of two as the serving was huge.

I had the Sunday morning breakfast buffet and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and the mix of local dishes; roti, curry, egg ball etc, and pancakes, sausages etc made for a very good line up. I decided to go local and loved the curry and the roti. The eggball was good too. The staff is friendly and attentive. Overall a very good experience.Thank you for your review. We are pleased that everything was to your satisfaction. Please do come back soon!

Being a Jamaican I found it very hard to find a good place to eat. This is one of the few restaurant that I found okay. The only thing that I really enjoy here though is sweet and sour chicken.

The Maharaja Palace has become my happy place. The food, atmosphere and staff all makes the experience worth while. I literally dance whilst eating. Whether it's dining in or having the meal to go, the service is spot on.The food, omg the food...the spices...the creativity and variety has even the average food lover in awe.Their prices are also quite affordable and you do get more than you pay for. Believe me you'll be asking yourself, "Do I deserve this?".
