Stopped here with my son after visiting a vinyl record store in Newark DE. It's just a single block off the main street in Kennett. Unassuming and friendly, the taco selection is small but good. We had a few different types, and they were all good, but the fish tacos were something special. Really, a fish filet fried on the grill in each one. Toppings are great. The place is clean and friendly. Go here for tacos.
Found this restaurant by accident. Mostly families were there, but also a good number of people came to get take-out. Large menu in both Spanish & English with traditional Mexican recipes. So good, we ordered extra to take some home. Very reasonable prices.
I stopped in to see if they had corn bread..I was amazed at the pastry selection of Mexican desserts. And they are really cheap too! Wowed friends with a huge platter with lots of vaiety for 6 bucks!!! Oh, and the mexican food is autentic and tasty too!

I never realized this Mexican restaurant jewel was in Hockessin. It is located off of Lancaster Pike in the small center next to Quinn's Cafe. Parking is availabe throughout the parking area for all the businesses. There is a good range of seating to include bar and small tables to the dining area tables. The menu is classic mexican but the specials are a wide range. The food was prepared to order and was very good. The atmosphere is nice and allowed us to have a good conversation while we enjoyed our food.Muchas Gracias DiAIJo for the wonderful review! We walked in to a very quiet restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. The waitress Vianey was very friendly and made great suggestions for food. She hand made virgin pina coladas for my girls. The Mojarra frita was an amazing whole fish! My husband had the Gringas which were still sizzling at the table. My girls enjoyed the TEX mex quesadillas and my youngest used the kids menu and it was the perfect size.

I met with friends at this truly delightful restaurant on 9/26/18, based upon a write-up in Delaware Today. The photos alone of the food had sold me. We were not disappointed. The menu is limited, but that's just discernment on their part... do a few things very well, and the world will beat a path to your door. In our party, we had the guacamole appetizer, and it was incredible. One had the tortilla soup, as it is her go-to appetizer, and she said it was delicious and different. The shrimp tacos were quite popular as well, many comments on the smokiness of the sauce, a taste everyone found unique and tantalizing. I had the shrimp stew, plentiful and quite tasty, with many subtle flavor hints, a must taste to believe. Just when we thought we were full, the dessert menu surfaced, and I saw Tres Leche cake on the menu. The whole table of four partook of this gem, and it was dreamy. Every spoonful was a sweet, delectable treat. The food served here does not disappoint... it is definitely made with love and dedication, and its presentation is superlative, only outdone by the beautiful seasoning in the food itself. I find that I "vote" with my dollars, and would definitely prefer to vote for a family owned and operated restaurant than a chain, or a restaurant "group". Nal will definitely be getting my vote. The place is not huge, maybe a dozen tables, but it is charmingly intimate, the décor very new and fresh... shiny but not glitzy. Even the drink coasters are intriguing.... as is the ladies' room (do NOT miss this treat, ladies, even if you don't have to "go". There is a sense of humor among the staff there that is refreshing and attractive; it makes me want to return. Nal is definitely a must do. I am definitely looking forward to another meal there.
