I have a long history with The Blue Moon, one of the very first haute cuisine restaurants in Rehoboth that established this sleepy beach resort into its current reputation as an upscale summe destination. A Saturday night in August, no reservations, the polite host took our name, said about an hour and then immediately found a table due to a last minute cancellation. Seated in the small private alcove near the kitchen. Actually a great table. Treated by a runner with water and introduced to our waiter. Drinks promptly delivered. Ordered apps, splurged on the amazing lump crab and Brie. Beyond belief, $20 worth of jumbo lump crab on top of perfectly melted Brie with roasted garlic pods and a hint per our request of old bay. Also the goose liver foie grass was so decadent it was a crime. Perfectly seared, amazing berry compote, perfect shortbread cracker. For mains, rack of lamb and the tomahawk veal chop. Nearly perfection but they kitchen mixed up which was medium and which was medium rare. No matter. They were rich, flavorful and fork tender. The accompanying salad was delightful and tangy vinaigrette. Ordered small roasted potatoes and zucchini, but got carrots and peas instead. Another mixup, but they were perfectly roasted and seasoned. Wanted desert but no way after that meal. Great portions, great price, great service, minor mis que typical of a busy Saturday night. We will be back for the show and dinner again soon

Our first visit to 1776. Food was outstanding. Our waitress Michelle was very attentive and great care of us. Did I say the food was great? It exceeded our expectations. Brian Clark was performing that night as well. Great entertainment. We will definitely be back!

You will have no trouble finding the restaurant since it has been in business over 40 years. It is a "fine dining" experience for both lunch and dinner. The wine list is extensive. The cooking is flavorful, creative and thoroughly enjoyable. Please includ
They are doing something consistently right here because I came here 25 years ago for some great meal, and I've just visited Rehoboth again, and the Back Porch is still here and still making excellent food. The service is outstanding, the atmosphere is tops, and the food is just so lovely.. and delicious. It's a special place. The bar area looks like a fun place for a drink too. Next time we will have to stop in for a drink as well

You definitely need reservations since it fills up quickly. We sat outside on the patio which is first come, no reservations accepted for outside. We had everything from an appetizer to a dessert and all was excellent. This was a great find walking the area. Definitely be back.

Attractive decor, mix between modern and rustic. Friendly waitress but didn't check on us much at all, menu varies day to day and the food is upscale, little pricey but not bad for a couple. Wouldn't be ideal for little kids

Great oystersLoved their Rubin sandwich. Might upset the hard core Rubin fans for deviating from the original, but this lobster variation was amazing. Decent wine selection. Our server Morgan was excellent. Bottom line. Highly recommended

The Big Chill Beach Club is the premier ocean-front restaurant, concert/wedding/event venue in Southern Delaware. From reggae + rock concerts, to casual lunches, bustling dinners and a daily sunset celebration, this is an experience your not going to want
What a difference a year makes. Iâll keep it short and sweet. The margarita was lousy (more salt on the rim than alcohol in the cup), my Waimea rice bowl was lukewarm, and the waiter showed no interest in his job. The really concerning thing is that the weather is suspect, so itâs not crowded here; the place is completely over staffed to the point that theyâre standing around watching ESPN in the bar. I canât imagine how it would be if they were busy. Yikes. Thanks for the feedback! Looks like the atmosphere on this day really contributed to a lousy experience. When planning the schedule, we can't necessarily predict that a late July/early August day will be "suspect." We've got to staff so that we are prepared if it ends up being a beautiful day. There are times when mother nature may throws us a curveball and because we were preparing to be busy, it may appear to a guest that we are "over-staffed." We welcome you to come back on a beautiful day so that you can see these guys and gals at their best.We will take note of the over-salted rim and lukewarm Waimea bowl as we begin planning for 2020.If you have any other thoughts on food and how we can improve, please shoot us an email at [email protected]!

The Fork + Flask is a relaxed, bungalow-style eatery offering inventive American small plates, seafood dishes & cocktails.
They were clearly shot-staffed when we were there. Though we had a reservation, it took 10 or more minuted to be seated. It took longer than it should have to order and be served. Now the good parts...we were thanked profusely for our patience, our drink orders were taken by the manager, food was being brought out from the kitchen by kitchen, staff, management, and other non-servers--a true team effort! Everyone was exceedingly courteous and friendly. And when our server finally greeted us, she didn't seem (or make us feel) rushed at all. The food was phenomenal. Their focus on fresh ingredients really came through, from their special peach-inspired menu insert, to the main menu, and the separately-printed special vegetarian menu, every item looked delicious, and what we had was. Highly recommend this place! Thanks for taking the time to leave such an amazing review! We will take note of your wait time so that we can ensure that these types of experiences are limited. We take a ton of pride in guest satisfaction and we are stoked that we were able to turn the experience into a 5-star one. We hope to see you again in the very near future.Cheers!
