Cafe Lily is a venerable neighborhood bistro offering an eclectic variety of cuisines from around the Mediterranean Sea: Italy, France, Greece, Spain, North Africa, and the Middle East. Established in 1999, Cafe Lily remains the quintessential Decatur restaurant, whether you're looking for a nice, romantic dinner, a celebration party, a large event, to entertain clients, or just some small plates and a nice glass of wine!
Four of us had reservations on a Saturday night. We were seated immediately. One of our party has been dealing with after effects of tongue cancer. She explained her situation to our waitress; no pepper, nothing acidic, nothing spicy. Gor s restsurant known for their Mediterranean marinades, sauces, and spices they were not only accomodating, but our waitress worked with the chef to provide her with a meal that deliciously met her needs. The rest of us shared a cold mezze platter for an appetizer which was excellent. I had the pinchitos - their signature dish and it lived up to it. Our waitress was outstanding. I wish I remembered her name! She knew the menu as well as the specials and made great recommendations. She also staged the meal well. We'll be back.

We had the following for dinner
1. Paleta Iberico de Bellota
2. Spanish Olives
3. Roasted Mushrooms
4. Patatas Bravas
5. Pork Tenderloin
Atmosphere was great for Valentine's Dinner. The aged iberico was perfect and delicious.
Olives were over the top flavorful
Mushrooms were great
Patatas was our favorite with the sauce. These were hands down our favorite out of all the food.
Tenderloin was cooked perfect.
The wife had a glass of pinot grigio and loved it. I had a few porters.
The porters were a bit pricey, other than that it was an overall great dinner and we will be visiting again sometime soon.

We stood in line for take out on a busy Friday evening. The crew did a great job of moving the process along. We ordered pulled pork, ribs, and some sides. Everything was VERY GOOD ! except for the ribs. They were a bit tough and chewy, but real good flavor.
The next day I called, and was greeted by Sarah who took the time to explain the rib cooking process, and apologized for the inconvenience. She offered to put us on the " mishap list" that entitled us to replacement ribs at our next visit. That is how a restaurant should be run. We are looking forward to our next "Q" visit. In fact we purchased a gift certificate for my daughter while we were in the area.

Loved the vibe with the thick wood tables & chairs, 2 stories, relaxing low lighting, busy waitstaff & blended patron conversations. It’s like a pub out of an old movie of Ireland locals enjoying a round.
My fish & chips were wonderful & my friends each enjoyed their food & different ales. A fun, delicious & thirst-quenching good time had by all. :)

Great quality beef burger cooked perfectly with fresh toppings! Stick with the fries. The fried okra was much too battered and the order of onion rings was disappointing, only 4!!!

Big group of friends had such a wonderful dinner here! I think we tried nearly every appetizer on the menu, both the vegetarian Saag Paneer and Lamb thalis, and a bunch of other dishes. Everything was exceptionally tasty. Namaste y’all!

This wonderful bistro recreates an Alsatian café in downtown Decatur. We've visited here many times and love the pate, the Tour de France cheese board, the house baked baguettes, and the flamenkuche. My fiancée and her sister and brother-in-law loved the profiteroles. The only reason I didn't rate this a five was a poorly prepared crème Brule which was not cooked long enough to properly set, most likely because the server forgot to put the order in when we ordered the profiteroles. For some reason, I almost never send food back but am sure they would have obliged me. Nevertheless we shall return because excellent restaurants can have an off day.

I have eaten at this restaurant a number of times with friends. The good was excellent each time. They have some very unique food. They have a small separate vegetarian menu. This place is just around the corner from Decatur square. It has a good hip atmosphere and can get quite crowded. Recommend a reservation. They have some outdoor seating. The servers do a tag-team, so the service is good.

We recently had dinner with friends before a concert. The restaurant is eclectic and interesting and the food was amazing!! I ordered the duck and it was cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the beef short ribs with collard greens - which were divine! Our waiter was Casey and he knew the menu and the drink specials to a T. He recommended several drinks that were spot on. The price point here is a great value for the money and HUGE props for valet parking!! Great restaurant and we will be back!!

My wife and I were in town visiting our daughter. We both ordered the mad platter with pancakes and home fries. Food was good as well as the coffee. Service was very attentive and nice. My wife’s eggs were cold when they came out
