The Albert Guest House and Mills Spa Apartments are centrally located in the heart of Daylesford. The Albert Guest House offers heritage style rooms, a comfortable period style lounge area to relax in and a dining room with continental breakfast provisions. The Mills Spa Apartments offer contemporary warehouse style self - contained accommodation with lounge/kitchenette and dining area, and many featuring a gas log fire, king bed and jetted spa bath. Some of the apartments have two bedrooms or an open plan area that sleeps up to six/ and two of the apartments can be adjoining to suit groups or families. All the apartments are stylishly furnished with air conditioning and ceiling fans. The boutique Albert Day Spa is located within the Albert Guest House and our professional therapists offer a range of personalised beauty/massage treatments to ensure you leave feeling relaxed and revived. We are walking distance to great cafes, shopping, restaurants and wine bars, the convent gallery, Daylesford lake and wombat botanical gardens.
The location can't be beat. It is less than 5 min to the main street, the Convent, Botanical gardens. We loved how convenient it was to walk everywhere in Daylesford from the apartment. We weren't told or did any one reach out to us to let us know that there had been a change of management just prior to our stay. It was just fortuitous that we called them to confirm our booking. We had to call several times and leave messages before anyone called us back. We were told we would be sent an sms with details of how to access the apartment, which never arrived. We were told that we would receive a welcome sms, which also never arrived. So not a great start to the stay. The hotel is now completely contact-less. A key safe is located outside each apartment with the code provided in the envelope at the unmanned reception desk. The envelope has minimal information besides the code to the key safe for your apartment and a contact phone number which was the one we called previously to confirm our booking and rang out to a voicemail. Not sure what would happen if we actually needed to contact them during our stay. There are so many security holes in this process. Who's to stop someone coming into the unmanned reception opening the envelopes to get the codes for all apartments and getting the keys? I can see they are trying to follow the AirBNB model but atleast with AirBNB you are actually sent the details instead of the details being left for any one to find. We stayed in Apartment 2 and something to note about the door is that it doesnt look from the inside. You have to lock it from the outside and then close the door when you are inside. We only found this out as we were unable to lock the door from the inside at all. The apartment itself is in need of some renovation, the carpet is old and stained, the chairs at the dinner table were peeling, the cutlery and cups, plates were a bit dirty. The frying pan in particular was oily. We did a complete wipe down of the apartment and used over 50 anti-bacterial wipes in the process, all of which were brown with gunk - we only cleaned the surface of light switches, things we'd be touching. The apartment didn't seemed to have been properly cleaned. e.g. We found a wrapper under the arm chair. The bathrooms were tiny and the shower cubicles were 2/3 size so not sure how larger people would fit in them let alone shower. The kitchenette has a toaster, kettle, microwave/grill combo, mini fridge, rice cooker, electric frying pan, slow cooker, plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, knives, chopping board, iron. We only used the microwave and kettle during our stay. No dishwasher. Thank fully we brought our own tea towels and detergent. Not sure what the hot water system is used but it sounded like a car engine each time we turned on any tap. An abundance of eco Spa toiletries were provided however for an apartment for 5 there was only 1 tissue box? We stayed for 3 nights and the tissue box was depleted by the 2nd day. We completely filled the bin in the kitchen by the 2nd day and had to use the bathroom bins. The TV in the living room has Netflix and Youtube which was great as it kept our son entertained. Internet was slow and intermittent, probably because the apartment is located quite a distance from the office. Parking is on the street, the space in front of the apartment couldn't really be use for parking. Upon checkout you are meant to SMS them to let them know you had checked out. As we didn't get a welcome SMS we sent an SMS to the numbers we had. the only response was thank you and have a nice day. Not even a hope you had a nice stay. The new management model seems to be like an AirBnB without the superhost responsiveness or service. As the apartments are quite close together with small tables outside each, this does not lend it self well to non-smokers as smoke from our neighbours will waft into your apartment. There is a non smoking policy inside but that policy should be extended to outside the apartment as well given the close proximity of each apartment. Would we stay again? Probably not. The location and the kitchenette are the only bonuses.

My partner, myself and our 3 year old stayed in the deluxe king room with a spa bath for 1 night and loved our stay! Friendly, helpful staff welcomed us warmly ahead of time letting us know our room was ready earlier than the check-in time and providing us with the wifi details. The location cannot be beaten being a couple of hundred metres from the main streets of Daylesford (Vincent, Albert). Gorgeous historical building, on-site parking, the most comfy huge beds ever with dual sided controlled electric blankets. Heater. A great spa bath to soak in. Clean. We will stay again!

3 Self Contained Apartment Style Rooms each with Kitchenette, SMART TV and Ensuite Spa Bathroom 1 Self Contained Apartment Style Room, with Kitchen, Seperate Bedroom, SMART TV and Large Ensuite Spa Bathroom 1 Self Contained Apartment Style Room with Kitchenette, SMART TV and ensuite bathroom with shower
We stayed here for three nights just after the Melbourne Covid lockdown finished. The room was a good size and it had everything we needed for a three night stay, including a nespresso coffee machine. Snacks and a bottle of sparkling wine were provided. It was clean and comfortable. However there were a few things which, given the price of the accommodation, should have been better. The parking area was very uneven - almost four wheel drive territory. The toilet didn’t flush properly and unless you were careful the cistern leaked after use - irritating, especially at night. And the room wasn’t serviced, which we weren’t aware of on booking. You could, of course, ask for anything that was needed.

An idyllic place to rest, relax and rejuvenate. Set amongst towering Sequoia redwoods and Douglas fir trees, and surrounded by gardens, the park rests in a tranquil reserve that offers a peaceful and serene place to relax and unwind. Choose from luxury glamping belle tents to self-contained cabins to large drive-through sites to suit your holiday style and budget. Caravanners and campers are well catered for with two amenities blocks, two laundries and a spacious camp kitchen. Families will love the adventure playground and wide open spaces for kids to ride their bikes and run free. And if a dog is part of your family they can sleep with you in the dog-friendly cabin. Dogs are welcome on all caravan and camping sites throughout the year. The park is just minutes to the famous mineral springs of Daylesford and Hepburn Springs, and just a short walk to Lake Daylesford and into the pretty town centre. Your hosts, Anthony and Jodie look forward to welcoming you.
Advertised as dog friendly but it isn’t. Cabin falsely advertised as dog friendly on Wotif. Asked to confirm three months out and no reply from holiday park. They basically took $500 for nothing. I hope others with dogs learn from me.
