You obiviously don't go to a restaurant for it's bathroom, but eating the poorly prepared crepes we ordered was an experience worse than using their incredibly filthy men's toilet (the ladies was "closed" more than likely to limit its use by the staff) which was worse than an open latrine in Bulgaria. The lousy crepes which we ordered last Tuesday were disappointing compared to any expertly prepared savory crepe. The "special" consisting of cooked shrimp dumped on to what passed for a mediocre tortilla, and the "Greek" crepe which was made with a processed American cheese substance and was inedible. The potatoes cold and burnt and the "red clam" soup clearly, the "chefs"
mistake.
I feel sorry for the wait staff and the bartender who were helpful, accomodatimg and friendly in spite of the incompetent kitchen which ruined a night out for us.

This place rocks for the college crowd...and adults too.
Just one big house on the corner, with a good amount of outdoor seating that is all covered. It gets super crowded with a loud energetic vibe at lunch, and I will assume dinner is the same. We were here for lunch and glad we stopped in. For lunch, you order at the counter, grab your drink and a number stand, and go find a seat.
The food came out quickly. I had the spicy guac burger and it was excellent! They also have several different types of fries and/or onion rings to choose from. Overall, the food was great, the service quick, and we had a fun time enjoying the high energy of this place.

In the heart of downtown, this pub has a welcoming and homey feel to it. Service is friendly and prompt. Lots of different types of seating, inside and out, so it’s likely you’ll find space. Finding a parking space in downtown Davis is something else. Unless you get lucky, plan on driving around and around to find a space. It’s a little pricey for pub grub, but you’ll find a decent selection of beers and tons of whiskeys. Good choice for lunch or dinner. Cheers!

I was visiting Davis and saw this place come highly rated. I haven’t been to other Dos Coyotes locations, so I didn’t know what to expect. In the end, I was a bit disappointed. The food IS good, but the ambience is lacking. I was hoping for a sit-down meal where I could get a drink and relax. This is just a different experience - you order food at the counter and they bring it to you. You are in and out fast. I would go here for lunch, but not for dinner again unless I was just looking for a quick bite.

Quaint little place with a great outdoor patio. Food is really good. Salads are huge and just fantastic. The BLT with avocado is to die for. Order the soup and sandwich. The tomato soup is a huge bowl with pueces of tomato. Dinners are interesting. The scallops were fresh with black forbidden rice with a curry sauce. A little too much heat but very tasty. Highly recommend.

In the spirit of the neighborhood European café, the Bernardo menu changes with the season. Salads, soups, daily breads, sandwiches, pizzettas, and burgers compliment entrees of fresh fish, steak and chicken, making Bernardo a healthy dinner house with café prices. Lunch and dinner dishes reflect the bounty of local ingredients and the certified green kitchen in which they are created.
Like most things Bernardo’s does, they do it well. Old school poached spun to perfection. The bacon is excellent and my wife’s a scone was fine as well. Great pumpkin lattes.

First, the thing about the wine. Our friends brought a bottle of great zinfandel from the foothills. Our wait person advised of a corkage fee (I waved her forward on that -- then learned it was $14; just be prepared). She struggled a bit with the foil -- what?! -- and then poured four glasses at least half full.
Paesano's needs to do a thorough tutorial with its entire wait staff on wine service: How to cut the foil, for beginners. Then, just pour a small amount in each glass. For one thing, my wife is a VERY light drinker, and left half of her pour by the and of the meal. But worse, when you half-fill a glass it is almost impossible to swirl the wine without creating a disastrous mess. And even us non-sophisticates know to swirl and inhale before drinking. Anyway, ... Word to management.
As for the food, I was a bit apprehensive, as I was choosing the restaurant (after a matinee at the Mondavi Center), for good friends we'd not seen in many years. The husband exclaimed, as we walked through the door, "I like this place already!" And he was responding to the ambience and decor. Paesano's looks and FEELS like a good Italian place.
He ordered the spaghetti and meatballs dish. His wife had a pesto primavera. My wife had the spaghetti carbonara. I quizzed them individually on their dishes, and they all indicated their food was great!
I ordered the capellini pomodoro (my personal test of an Italian kitchen). The flavors were great, but I could have used a bit less olive oil. And the dish had (apparently) been under a lamp long enough to partially melt the cheese sprinkles, which had the effect of welding some of the top capellini strands together. Otherwise, also a nice dish.
Our server, after the wine thing, was friendly and helpful. Just the wine-pour thing.
[I didn't know how to mark up the "gluten-free" question: I thought I remembered seeing something about that on the printed menu last night (doesn't apply to me or anyone else in our party). But in checking the online menu, I don't see anything about the matter. Check with the restaurant, if this is an issue.]

I'd heard that Seasons was under new ownership and decided to have a late lunch on a Thursday with a business associate. Stephanie, the GM, greeted us and answered our questions about the lunch menu. We sat outside and started with a Cherry Soda and Iced Tea. I decided to try the Vegan Cobb Salad and my associate went for the Salmon Salad. They were both very good. Service was excellent.

Went with granddaughter. She really enjoyed chicken tenders-crispy and hot, generous portion ( adult size). Had trout which was tasty , nothing special. Had breakfast one day, generous portions, well prepared, no special taste. Service good. Good place when just need to eat and want predictable food.
