Really friendly and obliging staff, fantastic, well equipped, clean and spacious rooms. lovely breakfast room with more than adequate choice of continental or hot breakfasts. Restaurant is atmospheric and intimate with great choice at reasonable prices. Had a slight problem at one stage which was put right immediately to my total satisfaction - the indication of a well run establishment. Hopefully will return and would recommend without hesitation.

In the beginning of the evening, the service was very cheerfull and gave the opinion your are very welcome, which is one of the most important aspects of the people who give service on a terrass. But during the evening it changed to a more nonchalant automated task which had to be performed: drinks are thrown on the table without any word or attention for the customers. Too bad, but we won't come back there. A better place to be is on the opposite, the brasserie of Hotel Stadt Daun which has nice people, great food, drinks and service that make you feel a guest in the house.

our party of 15 people at short notice were not a problem for the staff and we had a great night with great food and fantastic service. We were treated really well and considering we could not speak a word of german the young student waiter was fabulous in taking our orders.

Es fehlt an nichts (u.a. Lachs, Obst, Gemüse, Quark, Müsli usw.). Keine "Plastikberge", hübsch portioniert, alles wird regelmäßig nachgelegt. Gastgeber u.

The pluses are its well priced the staff are very good and the food is great. Negatives its noisy at night if you are staying anywhere new the Bar you can hear the music coming from it upstairs into your room. Also if you stay at the front of the hotel the smokers patio is below your window and you will get the whiff of cigarette smoke coming into your bedroom (i was on the second floor and it was quite strong). But on a budget its a good place clean room and functional - all you need really.

Das Hotel ist im Stil der frühen 80er des letzten Jahrhunderts gehalten, ist sauber und ordentlich. Für eine Übernachtung als Wanderer also vollkommen ausreichend. Der Service war ok, das Personal nett und zuvorkommend.

Historic water mill – revivedThe Densborner watermill combines traditional miller’s trade and modern equipment. While the mill is largely preserved in its original condition and fully functional performs its work, the house was completely renovated and furnished with the latest standards in style. In our mill we have two B&B rooms, for breakfast we serve our own baked bread.
My girlfreind, myself and my two kids stayed at the yurt for two weeks and although we had a wonderful time in the Eisel itself, the same can not be said about the yurt. Anne-Marion charged us 90,00 euro's per night, which we in the end felt was very overpriced. First of all, because the yurt was very cold. It was so cold and damp, as a matter of fact, that the first three nights we slept indoors at the B & B because it was simply too cold to sleep there at night. Even when we returned back to the yurt, I had to sleep with long pyjamas and long sleeves, otherwise I would wake up in the middle of the night from the cold. Secondly because it was so incredibly dark. Our nickname for the yurt was "The Cave" because being in the yurt once it became dark felt like being in a cave. The lighting was very poor. There were two bed lamps near the two main beds and then three lights in the middle, which gave out such a feeble light that to call the lighting dim might even be an overstatement. Third; The yurt leaked. If there was heavy rain the night before or during the day, then there would be small puddles of water next to the small table in the middle of the yurt. By the way, that small table and the four liitle stools were the one and only pieces of funiture in the yurt. Fourth; The beds were uncomfortable. By the end of the two weeks all of our beds were sagging and the bed boards were very loose. Fifth; The showers and toilets were not cleaned once during the entire two weeks that we were there. We cleaned it ourselves. Sixth; There was no table to cook or eat at and no chairs to sit on. Anne-Marion had to rummage around in her old storeoom to find a small school table that we used as a makeshift cooking table. All of this is bad enough but what heaped injury on top of insult as far as we were concerned is that we felt we had not been treated honestly: On the website, Anne-Marion mentions donkies. However, once we were there it turns out that she wants 50,00 euros to take the donkies on a walk. On the website it mentions Wifi but it turns out that we had to pay an extra 2,50 euros per day for the Wifi, which did not even work at all the first two days and would not have worked at all without the intervention of my girlfriend calling the Duits telecome provider to walk her through how the Wifi system worked in the first place. On the website a bistro is mentioned. However, when we got to the "camp site", it turned out that the bistro was closed the entire time. In our email contact before boooking the yurt I had asked Anne-Marion about swimming possibilities. She responded by saying that there was a "lake" on her property, which turned out to be a muddy, murky pond unfit for swimming. The last thing is that in the beginning Anne-Marion had said that she would charge us 4,50 for a wash and 4,50 for a dry (that sounded expensive to us) but we did one wash & dry and a second time we washed our four bath towels, which she had said she would do for 2,00 euro's. At the end of our stay she tried to charge us 20,00 euros for the two washes together. To be fair, Anne Marion did not charge extra for the three nights indoors and we were able to use her kitchen once when our gas canisters were empty. However we felt that 90 euro's a night was a huge amount to pay. All of this has contributed to us being very dissatisfied with our experience at Densborner Wassermuhle.
