My husband and I recently moved to the area and this was our first stop for eating out due to views and reviews. When we arrived, there was only one other couple in the restaurant, but it was early so I didn't think much of it. From the start, our service was poor. I don't know if she was having a bad day, but it was brisk, bordering on rude throughout the meal. Since she wasn't exactly busy (I could see her sitting down and chatting with other servers throughout the meal) it was inexcusable. We got the lobster arancini special for our appetizer- $17 for three golf ball size that still were semi cold in the middle. For our entrees we both got the grouper special. Fish was good, but my husband found bones and our vegetable side was forgotten until I mentioned it. Not a great way to start our Norwalk restaurant experience, especially for $100 bill. Won't be back.

Being one-hundred percent Italian you can find it hard to dine out for Italian food. Like most Italian/Americans we know the true authenticity of our ancestor cuisine. You can't fool our palette. Café Silvium is like visiting your grandmother's kitchen. The food is authentic and delicious, so bring your appetite. You cannot make reservations so get there early so your not waiting for a table.

First visit. Found it just by looking for "different" restaurants in the Stamford/Greenwich area. Very glad to have chosen this one.
Portions are small but quite delicious and satisfying. Good cubano sandwiches, tasty empanadas, good burritos and fairly good arroz con pollo (a bit scarce on the pollo). Prices reasonable. Very nice ambiance but with tables too close together. Clean restrooms (always a sign of civility). Staff could be more pleasant. Will certainly come again given opportunity.

We eat here often when we are too busy to cook and the food and hospitality are so good, it's always a temptation not to cook! Nice restaurant coupled with a terrific, caring owner. You won't be sorry.

In the heart of downtown Stamford, Columbus Park is the destination for those who appreciate fine Italian cuisine. One of three family-owned restaurants in Fairfield County, Columbus Park was voted “Best Italian Restaurant in Stamford” and consistently receives high ratings from food critics. Known for its chicken Scarpariello, home made pastas, fine service and artwork, Columbus Park can accommodate private events with up to 65 people in its private dining room, overlooking the greenery of Columbus Park. An added benefit is the outdoor seating that allows “al fresco” dining. When in the mood for elegantly prepared Italian food with exceptional ingredients, visit Columbus Park. With an extensive wine list, warm service and beautiful décor, you’ll be assured of a wonderful dining experience.
It's when something good happens even thought it wasn't planned, like what happened when Christopher Columbus thought he was sailing to India. So back to Columbus Park. We tried getting into what is now listed as the best restaurant in Stamford but didn't want to...MoreThank you so much, we are so glad you enjoyed all the food and service!! Come back soon!!

Just don't get the hype. Menu is limited, especially if you are with people who just want a steak or some chicken vs. fondue. The cheese fondue is average at best - huge disappointment as I had been craving cheese fondue. Dessert was yummy though.

My daughter and I had lunch at Remo's just before Christmas. We shared a pasta dish and a prosciutto and arugula pizza. Both were absolutely delicious. Service was also spot on. I loved the atmosphere at Remo's, clearly an authentic old Italian spot.

Have been here a bunch of times because it is close to home, but can't say I'm particularly impressed. The guac is great, but the chips are too greasy. The tacos are inconsistent - they are small and simple but the tortillas are fragile and often fall apart. The salads are nothing to write home about. The kids like the corn which is covered with cheese and spices. The room is narrow and dark and gets really loud when it is full. there is a great private-like table in the back (seats 6 I think) which you should try to get. The back patio isnt that good - it's in the middle of a parking lot.

When seeking an exceptional dining experience, Stamfordites need look no further than their own backyard. At The Capital Grille in Stamford Town Center, dry aged steaks and 20 year-old Scotch fortify Fortune 500 power brokers and power shoppers alike, while refreshing cocktails and irresistible appetizers delight patrons of the Palace Theatre and Rich Forum. Clearly, distinctive dining is not reserved for that larger city down the road. As a charming young lady once said, there's no place like home.
We are obsessed with Capital Grille! Everything we've ever ordered has been amazing. Their salads, apps and steaks are unbelievable. We go there for pretty much every special occasion, and sometimes just because! The prices really are reasonable considering how high quality and well made everything is. The service is always impeccable, and overall it's just one of our faves in Stamford.
