My wife and I returned to Pho Chu The for lunch today. We had fried pork chop with steamed rice and the traditional raw beef and beef brisket noodle soup. The Pho noodle soup was very delicious as before. But we did not expect the fried pork chop with steamed rice could be so good - yummy and tasty. The pork chop was probably marinated with lemon grass powder and other seasoning, making it very delicious, soft and tender. The steamed rice was freshly cooked and also yielded a very nice aroma. Both serving portions were rather big - although inexpensive, costing in total $19. We will certainly return for more. The manager (owner?) was very friendly and gave us good advice in response to our query to look for something in the area.Highly recommended.
We took our grandsons to this little family style Vietnamese Chinese restaurant for supper yesterday. The boys loved the salted chicken thigh - which was tender with good flavour and taste. They also loved the prawn spring rolls wrapped in fresh lettuce and herbs. There was nothing more pleasing to the grandparents' eyes then seeing these young ones enjoying their food so much. Well, we the old couple had our usual raw beef and beef brisket noodle soup with bean sprouts and herbs - which was, as expected, very good. Will return to try its many other dishes on the menu.

Wonderful little restaurant offering a great menu, varied but uncomplicated, backed up by fantastic service and value!Looks appealing from the outside and the decision to sit in and enjoy a meal for two was immediately vindicated.Service was friendly and prompt without being rushed, and the food fresh and delicious. All this in a spot where competition is all around... I will be back... soon! The setting is basic, but comfortable, clean and uncluttered... with outside tables also available. We arrived at 6 for an early Saturday dinner and found a table for 2 without difficulty, then while we were there it filled up with a steady stream of obvious regulars.. understandably!Love it!

323 on springvale rd Sprngvale. Vietnamese, Fresh Yummy food, great value. Easy to find airy inside, bright. Basic furniture, not what id rate as romantic or cosy, but a good spot for casual family early dinner or lunch. BYO, and licensed. Easy to access for those with mobility issues, so good choice for all family. Menu rather extensive, has the basics and a bit more. For those not fluent in Vietnamese, or familiar with cuisine, has great pics on wall of food choices with the traditional numbering system.

Must try our Bun Bo Hue and Pho. We also have a huge selection of stirfry and wok dishes! Pickup takeaway available aswell
Service is nice and prompt. Orders are prepared and delivered quickly and presented nicely. You will be looked after by the friendly staff. The famous Spicy Combination Pho is the best I have tried, and my family loved what they ordered. This will now be our place to go to everytime we are going to Springvale.

Absolutely the best Vietnamese food I had on this trip. Was brought here by a couple of friends who frequent the restaurant.

Iâve been here before but found the food this time around to be exceptionally good. I found out when I asked the lady at the counter that her sister in law had retired after 23 years!I ordered the Vietnamese noodles with grilled pork skewers and spring rolls, my wife ordered the Broken rice special, and my kids, both under 10, ordered the rare beef and chicken Pho and stir fried egg noodle with beef and broccoli respectively. We also ordered prawn spring rolls as entrees. We enjoyed the food so much that there was nothing left in any of the plates. In my last review I wrote about another Vietnamese restaurant that was a waste of money, but this one is definitely up there with the top ones that Iâve been to.

I've been frequenting this 'odd' restaurant for years and years. It's odd per its entry being at the rear lane behind Springvale Road. Staff is very functional and possibly better now as younger staff who speak 'strine' and less in your face.In years past, it was one of the goto places for 'asian/chinese/vietnamese'. Good food at reasonable prices and quantity to suit the plethora of university students and locals. It is constantly busy. Needless to say, they have done remarkably well as a business. The last few years have seen a notable shift in thinking. The owners are seeking to maximise via alternative substitutes either for cost or convenience. One such is the replacement of fresh rice noodles in some dishes with the reconstitute variety. Acceptable but not the best. Elements of change also evident in other dishes if you are a frequent customer.Overall still very good and yummy but realistically no longer up there YMMV

We came here on the strength of the good ratings this place gets and were not disappointed. The soup was excellent. A nice, clean and tasty broth. Got here just after 11am and got a seat straight away but by the time we left, there was a queue building outside. They just do Pho, nothing else, but they do it very well. As good as any weâve had while on holidays in Vietnam.
