A Christmas delight
Reviewed By HHolsteinFor the very first time we didn´t celebrate Christmas at home. We rented a large apartment during the Christmas and had an experience that supassed my expectations. The apartment was great and smartly decorated and had everythin you need, including a sauna. The surrounding area attracts and there are a lot of things to do. We visited the restaurant on the top of the ski hill, went on a scooter safari, did some downhill skiing. We also visited nearby Mora, Nusnäs and Orsa.

Homely little hotel that serves lunch Sunday - Friday. Pizza, salad and kebab Wednesday - Sunday. A la carte Friday & Saturday. The hotel has 12 rooms, with different standards. For example, hostel room, medium (sink in the room but shower and toilet in the corridor) or fully equipped hotel room.
Value for money with a good night's rest
Reviewed By Judith TThe hotel is under new management that is clearly visible throughout the hotel and service. It is cosy and very homely with delicious food and yummy cocktails prepared by Kari, always ready with a smile. If you pass through town, stop for the buffet lunch, highly recommended. I totally fell in love with the linen on the bed! Wonderful night's sleep.

Reviewed By annasen2016The breakfast is as good as I could wish for - possibly others too would like it? “Everything” is there - well-composed and often home-made or locally produced. Ever had fell made butter for your just baked graham buns, for breakfast? Also, this is the only place on our trip where boiled eggs were just perfect to our taste. I must mention the rye porridge, too, with newly-mad lingonberry jam with whole berries. And the home made other jams. And the salmon, and the herring on egg halves. As you hear, I do not forget this this breakfast experience easily. The interior and exterior are very pretty as are the surroundings. Beautiful river landscape - and a really good pub with excellent dinner meals, are both nearby. This hostel would not be this good without its very professional and kind hosts. - Thank you!

Welcome to Furudals Hostel located next to the lake Ore in Dalarna. Close to Mora, Orsa and Rattvik. Lovely guest kitchen, TV room and free wifi. We have private rooms and mixed dormitory. 300 meter from the hostel you have bus stop, grocery store, bakery and a small restaurant. We have also a small campsite with lovely lake wiev. Reviewed By LillemusenThe place seems to attract older generation, so it is calm and peaceful. Rooms are great, spacious, with toilets and wardrobes. Several common showers, all clean. Breakfast worth the money, but served only between 8 and 9. Common room could be better, but otherwise perfect STF place.Wifi working fine. Possible to sit outside and enjoy the view. Excellent place.

STF Hostel Salen is located in a scenic area of the Swedish mountains, about 25 km from Salen village. Conservation Areas and National Parks surrounds the hostel. An excellent starting point for summer and winter activities such as hiking, fly fishing, downhill skiing at either Salen or Trysil Mountain range. Cross country ski trails outside your front door.
Midsummer weekend hike
Reviewed By farenheight451We had a faboulous few days here over the midsummer weekend. Lovely clean room, hot sauna and great breakfast. Mark that runs the place is a character and looked after us well. And not to mention great fishing at the river just below the guest house! We booked the drive and hike and Mark gave great advice and dropped us off with tips for which routes to take and what to see. Fantastic weekend hiking with spectacular views. The Kungsleden runs past close by with loads of different routes for all tastes. Highly recomend this place to anyone looking for a break in the mountains.

Reviewed By Andreas HMycket bra och trevligt vandrarhem med tillmötesgående personal. Trevligt,rent och sköna sängar! Vi är supernöjda. Vi bodde här i två nätter under Nattvasan, det var inga problem att stanna längre under avresedagen för att sova ut. Stort plus!

Reviewed By MgerdinThe staff here was wonderful, helping us with directions to relatives' homes and places to see. Breakfasts were good, and accommodations were very clean. They made us feel right at home. The hostel is right next to the finish line of the Vasaloppet. Thee town itself rolls up the sidewalk rather early in the evening, but it's very easy to walk through the town from the hostel. It was a great experince, because we have not had hostel stays in the past.

Our main focus is to offer a comfortable stay close to the nature. We offer a nice breakfast buffet. At our place you can have your work shop or conference up to 25 persons. We will help you to set up your work shop. The surrounding is perfect for hiking, fly fishing or bird watching.

Reviewed By Jimena KWe are Swedish family with two small children went for a 1-day road trip there. Simple but good enough 2-bunk bed room with good sound-proof construction for us. Small sauna facility is on-site, right sized common / dinning room with kitchen for cooking. Convenience for especially if you are aims to visit the waterfall - Njupeskär, it takes some minutes drive to there. After climbing up to see the waterfall, you would understand why that is good to just take you minutes back to accomodation. ;) DINNING - because of the convenience of location, sorry, there is no restaurant or take-away close by, do your grocesary shopping before arrival, so you could have a relaxful rest after the day trip. Friendly staff is always happy to help too!
