Personally, I thought this place was a little overrated compared to all the other restaurant options around. I'm sure I'm in the minority though because this place seems to be very popular. I will say that the location is convenient and the atmosphere had some nice touches.

We wanted a more authentic dinner experience and this was perfect. It was unusual to sit in chairs at such a traditional restaurant. We shared the whole chicken stuffed with rice. The meal was good, simple yet tasty and filling. The chicken, ginseng broth made the soup. The food arrived quickly. The English menu provided instruction on how to use the dishes that were brought to the table, which you can read in one of the photos. The server did not speak English, but he was friendly. The value can't be beat.

What an authentic experience. Restaurant serves only one soup dish, with a couple of side pickled cabbage and kimchi. Very popular with locals, young and old. A unique experience for non-Koreans. Don't expect a menu though. There is only one soup dish but its tasty and a fixed price of 8000 won per person. Setting of the restaurant is like someone's house and expect to be eating sitting on the floor.

Perfect food and amazing staff! It is a very cozy place with a quite atmosphere inside. We've entrusted the selection of dishes to a charming waitress and it was a right decision. Mushroom risotto and pasta with meat sauce are really amazing. Price ranges from 10,000 - 15,000 for pasta and risotto selection and 30,000 - 50,000 for wines. We got a Chianti wine and it was amazing. Paid about 130$ for food and wine (4 adults and 3 kids). Will definitely go there again.

We love spicy food and deep fried chicken but we couldn't eat them everyday like the local.
We stayed in downtown so there many options. We ended up eating at Balaji because we miss Naan and curry so much. And of course we were not disappointed! The bread was SO yummy and the services were good. Placing orders were as easy as breeze because of their comparatively higher English standards.
The place is easy to find. If you see Daiso (the lifestyle store), walk a little further (heading towards the Daegu Station and Lotte Department Store), the restaurant should be on your left in the alley.

This Indian/ Pakistani restaurant is a gem. Located in the north part of Daegu city, the food is excellent and the service is top notch. As vegetarians, three of us ate different main dishes. The vegetarian curry was seasoned to medium spicy; the palak paneer was also ordered medium spicy and oh so good; and the vegetable biryani was ordered mild and served that way.

Break time 3:00pm ~ 5:00pm
Tiny place - expect queuing for a seat at one of the few squeezed in tables.
reservations not pos ( you'll see why when you go). While queuing outside ( which incidentally was freezing in March) the guy comes out with menus, takes your order 5 mins before a table is free, then as soon as someone leaves & it' your turn in you go: your food is already being cooked virtually there in front of you just at the back of the small room) & served pretty promptly (all those other people waiting for you to eat so they can have your table!)
Great food. Friendly very busy atmosphere. Go for the good food & experience but you'll be queuing for longer than you're in there !
