Matiz restautant is set in a charming historical building that has been extended tastefully. We had a table in the winter garden, by an artificial waterfall, which was beautiful. The waiters were very attentive and charming. And the menu was amazing â we would have loved to pick each and every meal. Needless to say the food was delicious and did justice to their reputation as seafood specialists.

While this restaurant is much pricer by middle class Bogotan standards, the average per capita plate is around $15.00 or 30000 COP. Service is outstanding with our waiter attending to our every needs.The Ajiaco soup was probably one of the best of the neighborhood. My Executive Lunch Plate had a huge grilled chicken breast, fried potatoes, rice, and salad.Juice was outstanding here, probably because of the freshness of ingredients.The ahi hot sauce was free-flowing and delicious. Even though its part of a chain of 4 restaurants, we were impressed by the complete attention to detail by all members of the staff, as well as the cleanest rest rooms in Bogota.Highly recommended and totally worth every Peso.

La Comida es perfecta mejor que en el TRAMONTI que está en la misma zona de VÃa a la Calera tienen en común congestión vial y en cualquier lugar a visitar en vÃa a la calera pague parqueadero porque si lo deja en la calle los están robando, en cuanto a la comida en la Embajada es muy buena, la atención del personal excelente el lugar aseado muy limpio solo no me gusta el sector en cuanto a seguridad los parqueaderos son pocos y muy costosos y dejar carro fuera de parqueadero es probable se lo roben roban mucho carro últimamente en la zona y en Bogotá y sus alrededores en esta zona vÃa a la calera ahora hay venezolanos en trabajo informal y robando en los miradores por ese motivo la policÃa de Bogotá ha cerrado miradores con cinta amarilla en vÃa a la calera!

Te place has great decoration and the place looks unique, but it is a restaurant, food and service are not good, service is slow and the personal is distracted and look overworked and not well trained/ managed. Food was not good, missing ingredients and side dishes, we where 6 and they served 3 dishes (meat and soups) cold. A variety of local fruit mixed with milk or water, amazing breakfast omelette or Colombian pastry filled with cheese or goyava fruit paste. A must try! It was a nice stop on the way to Soto where we had the best cheese in the Alpina factory!

Dear reader,This restaurant is not bad.I ate Ceviche de Corvina (delicious!) and Jalea Marinera (fried seafood, it was not bad).They have a beverage made of purple corn called Chicha Morada. It tastes very good, indeed! without alcohol, it is a kind of... how to say... a little similar to Kool-Aid but healthier, hehe...About the service, it was good but they may improve it.About the prices, I thought that it was going to be cheap because the restaurant is not fancy but I had to pay more than the expected. Don't worry, you won't have to pay millions of pesos per meal, it is just that the restaurant must balance the size of each meal with the prices.You need to have enough cash to pay here.Bon appetit!
