We came here based on Lonely Planet and the reviews here and boy was it worth it! We took a taxi down especially from where we were staying in Parque 93. We went late on a Monday afternoon after sightseeing. We actually wanted the arepas but they don't do all day breakfast and it was already past lunch time so we had to choose from the main menu which had a range of healthy soup, salad, sandwich options. Caters well for vegans and vegetarians. I am a very healthy eater and eat lot's of salads but this was one of the best ever! I had the quinoa salad which was divine! It had lettuce, broad beans, cashew nuts and cherry tomatoes with a lovely light dressing. I polished off the lot. Food was fresh, delicious and healthy. It came out quickly. Menu is only in Spanish. Staff do not speak English. They are pleasant but not overly friendly. Good and fast service. Restaurant was clean, welcoming and cosy. Semi full when we went. Not very big. I would highly recommend. I am just sad I cannot go back to try the breakfast. Some reviewers mention expensive but I thought it was very reasonable plus the portion was big.
Welcome!Señor MUU!!! La Hamburgueseria it is a nice place where you can try the best hamburgers 100% beef and chicken, we also have a wide variety of typical homemade beers from our beloved Colombia.
Muy ricas hamburguesas, el ambiente muy tranquilo y acogedor, precios acsequibles, parqueadero por la cuadra, o en el parque principal.Sitio muy centrado.

Te place has great decoration and the place looks unique, but it is a restaurant, food and service are not good, service is slow and the personal is distracted and look overworked and not well trained/ managed. Food was not good, missing ingredients and side dishes, we where 6 and they served 3 dishes (meat and soups) cold. Not a good experience at allDear AdanWe regret that the experience was not the best for you.We would like to know your contact number so that our service boss can contact him and know a little more about the experience in our restaurant.Regards¡
A variety of local fruit mixed with milk or water, amazing breakfast omelette or Colombian pastry filled with cheese or goyava fruit paste. A must try! It was a nice stop on the way to Soto where we had the best cheese in the Alpina factory!

Was looking forward to this place, it has a good website, the place looks clean and traditional (if a little dark), and the waitress assured us that our beef would rival any argentinian steak (one of us was was Argentinian) and the reviews on other websites were reasonable. They have a garden for children which was important for us. We ordered starters of empanadas and patacones, they were ok and the fruit drinks were good. The Bandeja Paisas and the Churrasco mains however were probably the worst we have had the unfortunate pleasure to eat in Colombia so far. Portions of Churrasco were relatively small, cooked ok, although mine had a funny taste. The other dishes were poor though, everything slopped together and again with an unusual taste. Toilets were average for this kind of restaurant. Worst thing was they charge around $24-35,000 per plate, when you can get a far, far better meal elsewhere at these prices. Didnt see anything of the waitress until the bill, when my wife told her we were very disappointed, she could not have cared less. Additionally, while the park is ok for larger children, one of the smaller ones fell on the surrounding fence which was topped with barbed wire, fortunately no injuries. Very disappointed, especially with the additiude of the staff.

La Casa the Paco, Here you can try delicious and traditional Colombian food prepared on wood oven and wood stove, elements that are so traditional on our ancestral cuisine. You can also enjoy organic food grew on our own vegetable garden where you find: l

The best Colombian food since 50 years ago. Come and enjoy our food really close to the city but far enough to feel the fresh air and the beautiful mountain. The restaurant has a nice view to the Teusaca river. We are open Monday to Wednesday only with re
It is a nice drive from downtown Bogota to this restaurant. The road climbs the mountain behind Bogota and gives a panoramic view of the city of Bogota. The restaurant is rather unique in as much as there are five or six individual rooms all tastefully decorated with items from Colombia. The menu is quite extensive and the prices are good considering the excellent quality of the food and the service given. There is a garden attached to the restaurant, which is well kept and gives an opportunity to sit down and relax in pleasant surroundings.Agradecemos mucho su comentario y esperamos que nos vuelva a visitar la próxima vez que regrese a Colombia.

Considering I live near La Calera and work in Bogotá, I drive by this place at least twice a day. After visiting it for the first time last weekend, I finally understand why it doesn't have so many visitors and is frequently rented out to film/TV commercial shoots: the only thing special about it is the venue itself. Made entirely out of attractive well-crafted wood, this place feels more like a high-class cabin in Canada or Austria, not a restaurant on the road to La Calera. Well maintained, well-lit and impeccably clean, as a photographer and video producer I can see how this could be a great location for a shoot. The steaks? Meh. The prices? Ouch! (for Bogotan standards). There are far better steakhouses in Bogotá, and you don't have to drive 40 minutes to get there.

The reviews here were on balance not very good. However, our experience in all respects was very good. The ambiance is very nice and appropriate for the type of restaurant this is. We were a group of five families with small children. First, our reservation worked perfectly. Table ready to go. To start we ordered one of everything (except the âcaldoâ) under Para Picar. It was all great. Then the main meal was varied but everyone liked what they ordered. The one notation I must make is that it took an hour for the main meal to be served but, as the waiter gave us a heads-up and told us it would be that long, it wasnât a problem; we took the kids to see the animals in the barn. The typical Colombian desserts everyone said were pretty good. I had the chocolate cake which was also a plus. The cappuccinos were also above average. Lastly price to value was more than acceptable. So to sum it up: even though I was a bit wary as to what to expect, we came away very positively impressed.
