We had such a fun time in this charming place! The staff was friendly and the food was very good. We highly recommend the ribs, brisket and pulled pork. We took fruit cobbler back to our hotel room for later and it was delicious!

Dessert Island serves up 6-8 flavors of frozen yogurt which are all self-serve. Then you add your own toppings, weigh it, and pay. Many of the frozen yogurts are non-fat, low fat, or no sugar added. The yogurts are smooth and tasty, and the toppings give you plenty of choice. They also serve smoothies and other frozen drinks, but I have never tried any. If you're looking for a clean, roomy place to get a tasty dessert, you won't be disappointed.

Shelly's is great! Doesn't get any more local. small diner with Shelly herself cooking up delicious breakfast. All the usual breakfast items but we loved all of the dishes we ordered. Was a little uncomfortable with the local's conversation but it was a great time. Definitely a must if passing through during breakfast/lunch time.

A birthday diner chose this restaurant to celebrate their day. Excellent choice. The decor is delightful. The food is flavorful and well-priced. Can't say enough good there.
The only hiccup in our experience was the service. It's not that we received poor service - it's that we received too much of it.
We didn't go two minutes without one of the staff stopping by to ask if we wanted more chips & salsa or drinks topped off, no matter how many times we said no. Maybe customers had complained about poor service, and this was them trying to do better. But 4 different staff cropped up all meal long. It took us out of our experience a bit.
Still, with such good food and fun flair, we'll be sure to be back next time we're in town.

Frisco's Grill and Pub is located in Cuba's Uptown Historic District, Frisco's is open Sunday through Saturday. Jimmy and Ben, owners and managers, are there to greet you. Frisco's Grill and Pub also has an outside dining area for those days and nights you want to dine out doors, and offers a private room for parties. The separate pub room has 20 beers on tap and features local Missouri craft ales. The full bar will satisfy your cocktail desire and offers a large selection of Scotch, with an expanded wine list. With 6 large tv's in the pub you'll be sure to be able to catch the game. We also will cater that special event!!
This place is pretty straight forward. Menu seemed good, varied beer selection, friendly staff. However, my group ordered four very different meals all of which were so salty it was like they pulled a prank on us. Hopefully it was just a fluke, but don't say i didn't warn you.

My wife and I have wanted to stop here and finally dropped in for lunch. It's much bigger on the inside than it looks. I ordered the chicken kabob and my wife ordered the lamb burger. Both were excellent! The marinated chicken tasted tender and fresh. My wife really enjoyed the lamb burger. The French fries were awesome! Lightly crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and not the least bit greasy. We are lucky enough to live nearby, so we will absolutely go back. I would encourage anyone traveling on I-44 or old Route 66 to stop in. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent place to pick up a quick fresh sandwich for lunch. All bread is homemade and meats and cheeses are slices to order. Very reasonable prices. Very interesting potato salad!! Plus you get the WHOLE pickle, not just a spear. Lots of unique soft drinks and juices. Not to mention Amish made candy and spices. Quick friendly service.

Myself, wife, adult daughter and her three children decided to stop here for an early lunch on our way to Branson. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. She made good suggestions for the children. The food arrived in short order. The portions were generous. The only gripe was the children's drinks were not portioned for their age/size. They were either too large for the younger children or too small for the older child. Other than that everything was satisfactory. I would go back if I was driving through the area.

Cute interior decorated with RT 66 signs.
Our table and section were clean.
There is a smoking section in the back.
We did not eat the buffet , we ordered from the menu.
We ordered a breakfast plate and a burger. Both were average, nothing special but I would stop here again if passing by.
Service was a little slow, but the food did not take long to arrive.
There is a Big Mother Trucker burger challenge. (see photo)
If you are expecting to eat at a truckstop, you won't be disappointed.
