The restaurant is along the main road from Labin to Pula and it has its own free parking in front of it. The food was very good, especially the meat which was excellent, very fresh and well prepared. The service was friendly, but very slow. It took us over two hours for just a âquickâ lunch. Anyway, it is worth trying and the price is reasonable.

It is a bit of an effort to get to this quirky village and our GPS made it more of an effort to return to our hotel but it was worthwhile. We had a splendid view of the water and boats, and good, friendly service. We were invited to select our fish from a big plate brought to our table. We chose the sea bass, which was then cooked superbly and accompanied by a range of vegetables and a lovely Istrian white wine. For dessert we had the specialty of the chef which was ravioli filled with sweet ricotta with sultanas and covered with home made caramel sauce. Patrons are allowed to bring their dogs which, for us, was not a problem but others may not be so comfortable with this approach to dining. We would love to return.

The location is wonderful, great views. We were kindly welcomed. We ordered the fish platter for two which was 330 kuna, bit too expensive for what we got. Quantity was fine, but quality was not top. Had really high hopes because of the reviews. Kids had a nice meal (schnitzel). Tip for the restaurant would be not to charge 1 euro for a small bag of ketchup or mayonaise. Seems a bit odd to make such charges when prices are already quite high. Overall I give this a very good rating, mainly bc of the setting and the service.
Visited as a family early evening and initially received a warm welcome from a young waitress. We ordered 3 pizzas and a pasta dish but were told that only pizzas are under normal availability with a long wait for anything else. In considering what Pizza to order in place of the pasta we hesitated for less than 10 seconds but rather than show patience for my son the lady taking our order (think was the owner) turned away and went to take orders from a party of 8 who had arrived after us. I find this extremely rude and it made us feel like our custom wasn't welcome. When the 4 Pizzas arrived they were disappointing. Maybe we were unlucky but the taste and texture was not to our liking. The base seemed undercooked and the toppings not tasty. A few days later we had pizzas from another restaurant called Kum in Krnica and they seemed much better. Perhaps our taste is different to the other reviews here about Zara but I would not return or recommend Zara.

Buisness time: Only reservations.
We visited this agro-tourism restaurant for lunch during a tour entitled âFlavours of Istriaâ organised with TUI via local Croatian operators Gulliver Travel. The tour gave a flavour of the region and the restaurant a flavour of some local dishes. It seemed a bit unusual to be getting driven by coach into a very small hamlet however they were obviously well geared up for the process. We were welcomed at the restaurant by a piper (their version who wasnât dressed in a kilt) and offered an aperitif of the local brew which came in shots of a few flavours. For the brave only there was some grappa, said by our guide to be of a very high alcoholic content and not tested by many on our tour. The flavoured drink was perfectly fine. The restaurant can seat quite a sizeable amount of visitors however it is designed in such a fashion that we never felt as if it was catering for the masses and that we were âpackagedâ. There were separate areas for small tour groups which isolated us from other parties and maintained a farmhouse-like atmosphere rather than a barn! We were seated at tables of around 8 fellow travellers and fortunately for us everyone was sociable and the atmosphere relaxing. The meal consisted of soup and bread and despite reservations of the soup being an odd thing to serve with soaring temperatures outside, it was delicious. (The temperature inside the restaurant was comfortable).Next we shared a couple of platters of pasta with meat or with cheese which again were perfectly tasty - the meat one had the odd bit of grizzle however I suspect it was one of those dishes where everything is put into a pot and cooked for hours - chunks of tender meat in general. To finish off we were served mini doughnuts covered in sugar which despite the coating didnât taste too sweet. To help the food down locally produced red and white wine were served and having tried both I was satisfied that I would happily buy a bottle if offered - it wasnât. Service throughout was quiet and efficient - plates arrived and left in a smooth manner so we hardly noticed. Meal completed we were offered a token gift of Istria (a little wooden item) in exchange for our tour receipt - not quite sure why but we also experienced something similar at our hotel during our holiday as part of a prize draw. The cost of the meal was inclusive in our trip. After viewing the temperamental donkey tied up outside and taking a few photos it was time to hit the trail for our next stop. Overall it was a very enjoyable visit, unhurried and well organised to avoid giving us a feeling weâd just been processed so full marks to all involved for achieving this result - a pleasant change from some similar operations we've experienced elsewhere.

A bit of a trek into the country, but what a find, lovely setting and very friendly staff with attentive service. Food was very local and authentic and although the evening was a little chilly it was a fabulous night out. Food is excellent and almost everything is sourced on the property, either home grown, home made or cured. Even their own wines. Really excellent for local delicacies, worth a visit!

We had a great time there! It is a sweet little place with lots of nice details. The vineyard view and the domestic surrounding makes it even more relaxing and cozy. The staff is very professional, but helpful and easygoing. One can feel that everything is made with love and thoughtfully chosen. No matter which guests were on the other tables,we could feel that everybody is enjoying their time and meals. We'll visit again. :)Gentile Barbara grazie mille , ha colto il senso di Vorichi . Sara un piacere avervi ancora da noi Buona estate
