Drove past this restaurant a few times en route to our villa without noticing it but looks very modern and quaint. Whole family went there for a meal and we were so glad we did. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The menu has English underneath so easy to ascertain what you want (highly recommend the steaks).There were childrenâs food options on the menu which was great for our two children. The food was good sized portions and extremely tasty. The meat is locally sourced and the desserts are all homemade, even the ice cream. My husband and I are here a number of times during our stay at Ripenda Verbanci and thoroughly enjoyed the friendly family service - young waitress is married to the chef who's parents own it. Food was very tasty with a good selection of fare but not so much choice that you are overwhelmed. The truffle steak was absolutely gorgeous. We had never tasted truffles before and the taste of this meal was fantastic. Istrian potatoes ( cooked with onions and bacon) compliment perfectly.Lovely homemade Apple and poppyseed strudle was also an unusual but tasty new dessert for us.The only downside would be the mosquitoes in the evening as the tables outside are under trees. V pretty but you need repellent.
