Must surely be one of the best restaurants in the area. Pizza was amazing, and wine served the right temperature (wine cooler). Bruschetta and caprese was also delicious. Staff is very professional, and gives you space to enjoy your dinner, but at the same just seconds away, when needed. We will definitely come back during our stay. After visiting this small family owned restaurant in Crete we felt we need to come back there over and over again, simply the best food we ate in the island, cooked to perfection. The waiters attention has no comparison, with suggestions for delicious plates and explanations of how they made it to the last details. We were a family of 9 people and we never had to wait for a table. Food so good, that we skipped the buffet at the hotel most nights to enjoy this wonderful place.Iâm really happy we founded this place and would recommend it without hesitation... one thing is for sure, I would make it a priority for my family to visit Barba Thomas restaurant whenever we visit Crete...

After just arriving in Platanias, we found this beautiful restaurant along the road. It is a very accessible and convenient area to eat. The food was phenomenal and the service was great. It is not a Plaka environment with tourist everywhere. The owner George came to sit with us and explain everything about the Cretan way of life.. highly recommend.

We were recommended, to go try this place, so we did and we had some very good pizzas there. The staff can give the impression that they are not really present, when taking the ordre. But the place is nice with a cool view and we think it was the best pizzas we had in a loong time. We choose a pizza with pepperoni with onion and pepper and a greek pizza with tomato and feta. And they were big and crispy with a good flavour.
