The place is spotless, with a fantastic setting overlooking the sea on the promenade at Ierapetra. Service is good - quick and pleasant. I always have pizza here, so that's all I can comment on as far as food is concerned, but it is always superb!Î£Î±Ï ÎµÏ ÏαÏιÏÏοÏμε ÏάÏα ÏÎ¿Î»Ï Î³Î¹Î± Ïα θεÏικά ÏÎ±Ï ÏÏÏλια και για Ïην ÏÏοÏίμηÏη ÏαÏ!!!!!

Good place to eat fresh fish
Absolutely exellent! Everything in this taverna is to be praised: food, atmosphere, staff. They have big portions, but even with this we received some extras free of charge for every our visit - either big bowl of salad, either tzatziki for 3 persons either something else. To say nothing about a jar of raki as a "gift from the owner". And they bring glasses just out of freezer for the beer! That's great! We've spent 3 weeks in Ierapetra, visited almost all of its restaurants of any kind. And this one is the best one. There are other places with good kitchen and good atmosphere, yes. And they can be in the same price zone (very friendly, indeed). But Gorgona won our hearts! Thanks them for all. Needless to say, I definitevly recommend this place for repeated visits.

The service here was fine but the food was the poorest of all the places we tried over a 2 week period. The seafood was terrible, chewy calamari and small prawns fried in their shells (hadn't even been peeled and the waiter tried to tell us that was how the greeks ate their prawns.... yeah, right). Even the salad was weary and considering the fresh ingredients available in the area where they grow so much of it, we thought this was inexcusable. We would never go back here as they are just not trying hard enough to be even average. Being beach front is no excuse for such poor quality. It's not like it was dirt cheap either.

The tavern we own was established by the Frangiadaki family in 1936. Since then our aim is to preserve the Cretan cousine. We continue in a friendly family environment, next to the seafrornt of Ierapetra to serve original local Cretan products and traditi
In Ierapetra for already 1 week and I use this restaurant every day. the owner is friendly and not intrusive like typical greek restaurant if you see what I mean.. right by the beach, good wifi, the owner even let me work in the morning on my computer with no obligations.I personally recommend it as a restaurateur myself .Price are also very reasonable as sometimes greek tavern can abuse tourists.I will be back everyday for my last week here only because I would rather support an honest restaurant than other ripe off as you can in Greece sometimes..My favourite was; Feva, Pancetta, greek salad and calamari but to be truthful everything did taste right and freshly cooked.Good luck to Levante .. and thank you for looking after me and my Family.xx

Zorbas restaurant is an ideal place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is placed in an amazing location by the sea and the food is for all tastes. Fresh fish is recommended. The staff is very polite and the service is excellent. Highly recommended for families with kids and couples.

We went for dinner here on the recommendation of our tour guide.Unfortunately we never got to sample the food as the place was overrun with ferel cats. The owner made no attempt to discourage them - quite the opposite with a shrug of the shoulders. As I have a cat allergy there is no way we could have sat through a meal in that restaurant.

A super nice place right on the beach with very friendly staff. Both the grilled octopus and deep fried calamari was cooked to perfection. They also have a bar and sunbeds in the beach!

Very modern restaurant run by young guys who are cooking traditional Cretan Cusine with modern twist. Food was excellent, fresh ingredients and VERY well presented. Lovey setting next to the old Venetian fort in lerapetra. Cannot recommend this highly enough to anyone who enjoys good food at a very reasonable price
