The birthplace of both the king of the Olympian gods and of modern European civilization, Crete is a Mediterranean jewel. It’s rich with archaeological and mythological history that’s reflected in its ancient ruins and cultural attractions. Soak up the charming atmosphere of Chania Town’s Old Venetian Harbor or the fortresses and monasteries of Rethymonon. The awesome Minoan ruins of Malia date to 1900 BC, and majestic Mt. Ida is said to be home to the cave where Zeus was born.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We stayed for 4 nights in early June. Our holiday had been postponed for 2 years and we were able to pay using the voucher issued by the hotel following the travel disruption caused by the pandemic. Over this time we corresponded by email with Eva, who handled the situation with great understanding and professionalism. She was extremely helpful and always responded promptly to any queries we had. All of the staff at the hotel, including Aliki and the breakfast waitress, were friendly and delightful. Eva arranged for a taxi to collect us from the airport - I’m so glad we did as we were delayed 4 hours and it was a relief to have someone waiting for us at midnight. We had checked in online beforehand but there were still staff waiting to welcome us at 12.30 at night who showed us to our room and took up our bags. The hotel is in a stunning location. The breakfast was delicious and always served with a smile. We just loved sitting outside on the terrace and watching the world go by. We visited restaurants on the hotel’s recommended list. The staff made reservations for us when we asked. They did everything to make our stay perfect. Chania is beautiful and if you’re planning a visit then look no further than the Alcanea.

A lot of space to walk and private free parking in a short distance of the rooms. Also a restaurant that serve every day breakfast, traditional food and fresh fishes start from 08:00 till 23:00.
We visited this hotel in summer. It is very modern and very close to the famous beach. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. The dishes are delicious and at reasonable prices and the staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend it!

The hotel complex is together with the Kakkos Bay hotel situated like a palace directly at rocks at the sea. And it is for "adults only" - which means you can enjoy your stay with your partner. All the staff is very friendly and helpful and therefor you can very much enjoy your meals, interesting the offer on one day or another not from Greece but from other countries or areas (Asia, America ---) . Also the staff at the reception is helpful if you need help or you have individual special wishes. And an excellent idea of the management was to offer a Guest Manager - he knows all you want to know

In a narrow alley in the heart of the Old Harbor of Chania, you will find the Elia Fatma Hanoum Hotel, an old mansion that harmoniously combines the Venetian and Ottoman architecture. It has been renovated with care and attention to detail and has been lovingly restored to its former glory. The architectural mix of wood and stone of the old building, the twinkling lights, the warm colors and the modern furnishings create an effect of romantic elegance, warmth and an intimate atmosphere that both relaxes and refreshes.
Just spent a couple of nights with my family at Elia Fatma and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had two lovely rooms on the same level. The hotel itself is extremely clean, quiet, and charming. The staff (Dimitra at the front desk, and Gianna at the restaurant), is beyond helpful and will assist you with anything and everything you need, covered with a smile and big level of hospitality. Breakfast was in a charming, colorful room and no one wish was a problem for Gianna. Great location in the old town. There's really nothing negative I can say about the Fatma Boutique, especially if our accommodation will be comparing with the room charge.

The "Studios Manto" was built in 2008 and their modern facilities, the clean rooms and their many comforts reflect the Cretan hospitality making your stay comfortable and relaxing. Each of the studios has been decorated with great taste from the artist Manto with paintings that draw their topics from the traditional folklore art, giving each room a different touch, which makes it special.
Just spent 9 nights at Manto studios. The room was spotlessly clean. We were in room 2 which was spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the garden. The buffet breakfast was fabulous. Lots of choices. Nice to sit in the garden. All the staff were excellent, pleasant and helpful, from cafe staff to cleaning staff. Very handy for beaches, shops, buses, tavernas etc. Would definitely recommend. Well worth the drive from Chania airport.

When I made my reservation I arranged for the hotel to send a driver to pick me up at the airport for 25 euros. The driver was there when I exited arrivals and was polite and courteous. This "hotel" is a larger complex consisting of offices and also apartments. There is no hotel "lobby." There is a reception office. I checked in and was taken to my room and shown how the tv worked, etc. After I unpacked I noticed that I had been given only 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel. I was told when I checked in that housekeeping only came every 3 days (again, since it is not a regular "hotel") I went to the reception office to ask for 1 additional bath towel. I was told that since I was the only guest they only allow one towel but would "make an exception." I found that to be absurd. I actually try to be as green as possible when I travel and typically refuse housekeeping and new towels/sheets. The only reason I asked for another one was because I was told housekeeping only came every 3 days and I wanted to make sure I had an extra just in case. Oddly enough, despite what I was told housekeeping did come every day that I stayed there. I was confused by that but what can you do. Anyway, the location is decent. I personally found it a bit too far to walk to the harbor area, however, so I had the reception call a taxi for me each time and it was 5 euro to get there. I found that to be reasonable. There are several restaurants, cafes and small grocery stores in the area. The room itself was nice. The other issue I did have was that my room was on the ground floor directly across from a public ATM in the complex. I mean, literally 6 feet away from the ATM. It is a very busy ATM so at times there were groups of 5-6 people waiting in line right outside of my room door to use it. Since it is not a typical hotel I would suggest this for a more independent and experienced traveler. If you are not the kind of person who needs a lot of "hand holding" from a hotel front desk than this is the place for you. The two women staff who I did interact with (a younger and an older woman) were both friendly and professional.

This hotel is simply fantastic, as is its location, the rooms, food and staff. Stop searching for your ideal hotel in Crete and book the Elia Agia Marina hotel now, you will not be disappointed. I spent a considerable amount of time searching for the 'idilic' hotel for my family to stay for a weeks holiday in May and decided upon the Elia Agia Marina and I was not disappointed! My wife and I, together with our my two children aged 9 and 11 years absolutely loved the hotel, it's the facilities, the friendly staff, superb hospitality and its location made our holiday. We were collected from the hotel with a complimentary transfer that made the start of our holiday seemless and stress free. We were greeted by the nicest hotel managers and staff who throughout our stay could not do enough for us. The cleaners were amazing and made different animal's out of our towels each day that our kids loved! The waiting staff were so attentive, nothing too much to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. We had a Maisonette which had two bathrooms and enabled our kids to have the top floor and allowed us to relax knowing they we safe above us. The rooms are very modern and extremely clean with quality mattresses and bedding that all seemed very new. The entire hotel is so clean, fresh, modern and with a chilled vibe. Breakfast is great with a fantastic variety of food, something for everyone and excellent quality. It is buffet style and you know that before you go so no point complaining once you get there! We ate at different restaurants in the evening for our first few nights, the food was good but a little pricely at places. We then ate at the hotel and the food surpassed everywhere else, the Elia Agia Marina Hotel menu is excellent. The food is cheaper than elsewhere, portions larger and quality better, outstanding ( especially the sea food sourced daily!). The pool is not huge but again we knew that before we went, but it was more than sufficient for what we needed and hey, there is a huge beach with crystal clear blue ocean a couple of steps away!!!! Would we go back, definitely, would we recommend, absolutely! If you want a hotel with all inclusive buffet style food each day and lots of pools don't stay here, if you want a clean, classy, modern hotel with chilled vibe, excellent food and outstanding hospitality with the best location.... book Elia Agia Marina Hotel! Loved it.

Accommodation is good with a great pool for a cooling dip. And the restaurant is always on hand serving great food and drinks. Thanks again Nikos and team!
