Soluzione all'ultimo momento oltre alle attese. Ottima qualita'/prezzo

We had only 1 night stay, but we loved it. The hosts made us feel welcome. The food they prepared for us was very good, fresh and tasty. Few km away is Prejmer with its beautiful medieval church and citadel. I would definitely recommend Conacul Nagy for a great accommodation.

Other facilities include a spacious garden, barbecue, a shared bathroom, a shared, fully-equipped kitchen, a shared balcony, a large and a small shared dining room.

On arriving at this property we discovered that the owner hadn’t finished the rooms he was advertising on bookings and could only offer us a flat with shared communal bathrooms downstairs (which were not in a good state).. the rooms were cheap with old, tired mattresses of the thinnest sort, there was no television or WiFi available to distract from the gloomy lack of decor and hospital style, surgical white lighting Our first impression of the owner as we arrived in the rain overloaded with luggage and camera kit, tripods etc, was that he barked at us to shut the front gate so with no spare hands one of us had to drop our gear in the mud so we could walk the five yards back to the fence to shut his gate. Despite being on bookings.com he has no card machine and would only accept payment in cash, which we didn’t have, nor is there a single cash machine in Sfântu Gheorghe so he was preparing to kick us back out into the rain, refusing to let us stay. Eventually my colleague arranged for someone to make a bank transfer to his account in Tulcea. However when asked, he was not prepared to give us any kind of invoice for the payment so we cancelled it and decided against staying. He was rude, unhelpful and devoid of any sympathy or personal skills. Luckily we found another place to stay a few hundred yards away so only had to struggle with our bags down dirt roads in the pouring rain for another ten minutes. Having since spoken to a previous guest about the owner of this property I was told (although i can’t verify this for certain) that he asked if they were staying in or going out and on returning at 10pm found they had been locked out for the entire night. This is the sort of establishment that gives Romania a bad name and would ensure any foreign tourists would return home with a very jaded impression of local hospitality. I can’t recommend against it enough.
