Just returned from second visit to Athlone Springs Hotel. We enjoyed it so much. The staff were very nice and helpful. A special mention for Fiona in the dining room a true professional guest focused a credit to the hotel. The only negative thing was we had no hot water for our showers we didnt complain we mentioned it on departure. We will return again soon all positives. Thanking you Rosemount 15

Another excellent work stay at the Sheraton, due in no small part to the superb Maire and Karolina at reception who went above and beyond to help us as usual. Ideal location in the middle of Athlone, within walking distance to bars, shopping and restaurants.

Myself & my 2 Children (12 &16) stayed at the Wineport for 3 nights. From the moment we entered Reception, we were welcomed and made to feel special. Food is delicious, from breakfast, dinner to afternoon tea...what a treat. Gorgeous comfortable room overlooking the lake, with a balcony. We used complimentary bikes on Saturday to cycle to Portlick. The kids used complimentary paddle boards and went swimming in the lake. I had a lovely relaxing massage on Sunday morning. The highlight of our stay was the Boat Trip with Pearse on Sunday afternoon. He is a real treasure and was well versed on the history & nature of Lough Ree. My compliments to all the staff at the wineport, your customer service is second to none and we really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed for a short break and overall had a lovely time. The facilities are beautiful and very clean, the staff were all very friendly. The food could have been better, some dishes we got were blonde or not per the menu description. While the staff were all very helpful and friendly the receptionist we dealt with was not friendly and not helpful eg never advised of facilities, where to book dinner the our DBB rate. Despite these comments we would still recommend this hotel, it certainly has potential for a 5* review.

This hotel is lovely very busy with restaurant rooms perfect my opinion is not just with this hotel it is with hotels in general .I am a very hard working female i live with my dad who is 89 i am a manager in a hard working environment so ìt is nice to get away to chill but i feel staff look at me because i am alone they show little attention men sit in bars they are recieved with normal welcome and chat . I worked in pubs in uk and ended up running my own pub and decided that women should feel comfortable in my pub on their own i chatted i went out of my way to make them comfortable in having a drink at the bar chatting with me and treating them with respect and not feel uncomfortable and i feel that staff should make the same effort with single women as they do with men in this stage of life we all need time out be looked after because you never know what that person is going through so just a thought for people who look at a single lady taking time out we actually deserve a little love and respect and feel we deserve that time too ? ❤

We stayed with Anne and Warwick a few years ago (2018, unfortunately I am not a regular TripAdvisor user which explains why only writing a review now!). The O'Hara's provided one of the warmest and most delightful stays I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. At the time, Dinner was an option at Mornington House, going by more recent reviews, I am not sure if this is still the case. If it is, then I can heartily recommend partaking in it, as well as breakfast as both are excellent meals. The mealtimes are also a wonderful chance to engage further with the lovely hosts and the charming other guests that fin this hidden gem.
