Tully's Hotel is a Failte Ireland approved property. It is a family run hotel located in the busy town of Castlerea, County Roscommon in the west of Ireland. The hotel was established in 1968 by the late Vincent Tully and is now owned and managed by the Tully family.
When I arrived the check in experience was not pleasant with a small group of people sat at the bar using language you would not share with the family. On the way to my room there seemed to be a number of single foreign men scattered around the hotel listening to things on their phones but worse still they were in an out of their rooms every 5 minutes banging their doors as they did so. Unfortunately I was next to fire escape which was their refuge for smoking. In short never again.

The Silver Eel Bar, Restaurant & En-suite Accommodation in a family ran business. We are four miles outside Strokestown, Co. Roscommon on Drumsna road. We are situated on the banks of Grange Lough. We have five beautiful rooms, all en-suite with full Irish Breakfast.
I stayed in the silver Eel in Roscommon overnight. The room was outstanding. Far better than some 4 star hotels I've stayed in. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and the quality was sublime! The staff in the bar were unbelievably friendly and efficient and the ladies serving breakfast were so friendly, nothing was a problem. I'm kind of hesitant to recommend as if it gets too busy I might not get a booking on my next visit! ? Can't wait to go back. Well done Silver Eel!! 10 out of 10.

Jackson's Restaurant & Guest House, has been one of the most popular restaurant since it opened in 2006. The Restaurant and Guest House is privately owned by Jasim Uddin and run by General Manager Dinesh Narain . Our Guest House is located in the heart of Roscommon Town - the gateway to the West of Ireland and County Roscommon's idyllic Lakelands. We are situated on the Market Square Roscommon Town and we are just a 5 minute walk from Roscommon Castle and Loughnaneane Park.
When we arrived, we were allowed to check in early to one of our rooms and we did because we thought we could leave our bags there. When we went into the room, it was obvious that it hadn’t been cleaned yet. The bed was unmade and there were empty water bottles lying around. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned yet either. We handed back the key and informed staff of the situation. We checked in again later in the day, and later on that night when we returned to our rooms, I noticed in my room that the bathroom filled with the stench of sewage whenever the toilet was flushed, the bulb in the bedside lamp was blown, there was no toilet paper in the dispenser, the tiles in the shower were mouldy, and there were no hangers in the wardrobe. The duvet did not have a cover on it. As the restaurant and front desk were closed by the time we discovered these problems, there was no-one around to fix them. I would only recommend this place if you’re absolutely desperate.

Visit Linsfort and there is no room for disappointment. 5* service from the moment we arrived. The rooms with en suite are spotless and extremely comfortable, with complimentary tea coffee and toiletries. Beautiful soft fluffy towels too. Breakfast was to order ,bacon sausage egg beans tomatoes black and white pudding ,was all locally sourced . Tea coffee , cereal juice was all available. Our host had a wealth of local knowledge and leaflets for attractions, restuarants and taxis etc are available to peruse. This B & B is located in the middle of town so all shops pubs and resturants are within walking distance. We will be visiting again and staying here without a doubt.

I've just stayed in a small cottage here. Absolutely brilliant. Ideal for walkers hiikers and cyclists. Small kitchen bathroom and two bedrooms. Four hundred yards from the town and the Boyle is in the vvery ample garden... John is a very good host by virtue of the fact that he leaves you alone , unless you call on him ...

We were on a family trip with our dog Boris. We were made very welcome from start to finish, especially our dog Boris who can be very nervous. The Townhouse is beautiful and has lovely wee touches throughout. This is a family run bed and breakfast and owners are obviously very creative. Rooms spacious, warm, clean and comfortable. Bed very comfortable and shower luxurious. Breakfast was excellent, good selection of food and the fry was delicious. A special vegetarian fry was made for me (thank you). Afternoon tea available on some days during the week but unfortunately we did not get to sample this as we were on a flying visit. The garden looked lovely but unfortunately it was pouring. We did not get to look around the local area due to the weather and limited time. We bought some crafts at the B&B, these were excellent and very reasonably priced. I could not recommend this place highly enough. Thank you for a delightful stay Kathleen, Liam and Kathleen's sister (sorry I have forgotten your name). If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay again.

Very sad that this lady is still running a B&B. She is typical old school marm, who had little or no patience for the kids that were in our group, We were a group of three families, I'm sure she will remember us well. She was very upset when I would not pay for a guest who could not be there. The place is full of old world charm but very little else. The beds were awful and the dust around the house was so bad my sisters asthma played up really badly whilst there. We did not want to return but were left with little options we just walked the town rather than go back to the b&b. The breakfast came from lidl and was really awful, so bad that I just had the scrambled eggs thinking she could not get that wrong. She actually asked my cousin when he asked for a full Irish, would he be able to finish it all., as if 'dont waste food' the kids who asked for what they fancied where told that was a peculiar choice with a very distasteful look,. like pancakes and bacon is odd???? the choice of cereal was awful, the fruit was out of tins. the atmosphere was a bit like something out of 'What happened to Baby Jane' No toiletries in the bathrooms which were cramped and not the cleanest and the beds were so bad I did not sleep a wink. There were soft toys all over the landing which were creepy to say the least. The kids beds fell apart without much effort of them turning around in them. I had rung on the way down to say we had one guest who could not be there and asked for a double room, she said she had not got one, yet my cousin got one when he rang straight after me. She was pretty pissed off when I did not pay her for the third guest in my room as she had already got the money for an extra night as my sister could not stay the two nights. Overall this woman needs to retire from the hospitality business as she does not understand the meaning of hospitality, she kept walking in to our rooms talking to us. we felt we were in her house not in a B& B, she spent most of the time gossiping to her very few guests, She also told us not to book through booking.com as she lost out and she would give us a better rate, Hmmmmm. less than a tenner off. I would avoid at all costs and would love if she were to reply to me and tell me different to what I have just written.
