A modern, warm and comfortable restaurant, serving an eclectic mix of dishes using local Irish produce wherever possible. The restaurant has a separate cocktail lounge where you can enjoy one of our cocktails, a selection of bottled beers or even a non al
Ate here tonight with friend. It has opened under new management. Very impressed with the menu. Definitely a wide selection that will have something for everyone. The most notable point is the attentiveness of the staff. Both of the waitresses who served us were mannerly, polite and excellent at their job. The food was fab we both cleaned our plates. Will definitely be back
We had a really amazing dinner and a wonderful breakfast at the Glasshouse Restaurant, which is located within the Sandhouse Hotel in Rossnowlagh, near Donegal. It is one of two restaurants within the hotel and the food was simply delicious! The Glasshouse Restaurant is located on the second floor in a beautiful glass space overlooking Rossnowlagh Beach. You can watch the sunset to the west or during the day watch the surfers trying to catch a wave just feet from the restaurant, as it is situated right off the beach. We had both dinner and breakfast here on our recent trip. For dinner, I would recommend dressing up just a bit. Having driven from Westport and spent the afternoon walking along the beach, I had changed, but wore what I would consider day clothes into the restaurant and while no one seemed to mind, I did feel a little out of place among people who were very clearly dressed for an evening dinner out. The service was great at both meals! In fact, when we inquired at the front desk for directions to Slieve League for the next day's sightseeing, the staff asked if we were planning an early start. If so, though breakfast didn't open until around 8:30, we were told we should just knock at 8AM and they would let us in. Though we felt a little uneasy doing that, since they would be still setting up, the staff saw us approaching and ushered us in right away. Very welcoming and truly nothing was too much trouble for the staff! The breakfast was good - you'll find more fish options on this menu compared to other places we stayed.Give it a try - some are caught just miles from the restaurant! While breakfast was good, dinner was fantastic! I had the duck and it was so delicious. It reminded me of having pheasant or duck at my grandparents' house when I was young. Everyone in our group tried it and agreed it was phenomenal. My daughter had the hake and she ended up not really enjoying it as much but everything else was so good she just ate off our plates. (PS, she's not a picky eater. In fact, she may be the most adventurous of us all.) Another person in our group had the lamb and a fourth had the beef steak and both were loved as much as my duck. For dessert, we had the apple pie with fresh cream and the chocolate fondant with raspberry sauce. Again, flawless. While I would not rate this as my MOST favorite restaurant in our 14-day stay, it definitely was among the top 4!

Took the Mrs and Parents for a meal here over Christmas. After 5 weeks at home and eating out most nights, this was easily one if not the best meal of the trip.Between us all we had, hake, salmon, chowder, goat cheese salad.etc Salmon tasted amazing, very wild tasting.Even the hake was excellent which Iâve never had much luck with in the past, always a bland tasting fish.Looking forward to the summer visit now, so can sit outside n enjoy the surroundings.Pretty good Guinness too.Certain non Irish members of staff could use a little Donegal friendliness
