We went here for our first night based in dungloe. we managed to get a table as it was very busy on a Friday night. Lovely feeling not rowdy and nice drink selection. Food menu was good and portions big. I has the vegetarian curry with rice and it also came with chips. Hubby had the fish and chips with mushy peas and onion rings. Again a great portion and everything was very tasty.Dear GlasgowWinenut,Thank you for choosing The Bayview on your recent visit to Dungloe.I am delighted to read that both yourself and your husband enjoyed both meals and found them to be plentiful.I look forward to seeing you back again if you're ever in the area.RegardsCharlieBar Manager

"Teach Coll" is a long established family run public house in the North West Donegal Gaeltacht of Magheroarty. Magheroarty is among one the most scenic places on the coast line of Ireland. With glorious views of the Magheroarty's Golden sand beach, the Is
Just getting around to this review now, it's been a few months but it fully deserves the 5 stars! The food was amazing!Tasty, fresh and nicely presented. Good portions too.The choice on the menu was great. Something for everyone. The views from here were beautiful. It was clean and cozy and you felt you could relax. The staff were friendly and efficient. Make sure to visit and experience this place for yourselves if you're in this part of the country. We were staying at Loch Altan hotel and were recommended Colls by a nice patron at the bar!Thank you, Sir :)

Just finishing an exceptional meal in teac jack. I had chicken on flatbread with stir fry vegetables. A feast. My son had beef medallion on sourdough bread. Nothing left on the plate. My wife had fish and chips.....a massive piece of fish. Try this place. It will not disappoint. Service good and great choice of main courses.

Visited here while staying in a nearby cottage. We were out of season so it was all a bit quiet, no local music and while I understand this I was somewhat disappointed.Lovely roaring open fire was welcoming and a good pint of Guinness.Lacked a little atmosphere probably due to the low season.Highlight was the resident kitten who was such a friendly wee thing and gave us the warmest welcome!

Visited Friday evening to this wonderful and my favourite restaurant of all times, sat by the turf fire for drinks ( loved the Irish gin, Irish tonic and dulce). Wonderful setting, welcome, service and food. Faultless. The home made bread, starters and main course were delicious. Pity you can't buy the bread, it's the best ever. Love everything about it. Thank you.

Went here on a Friday night with my wife. The food was exceptional. Many restaurants like this give small portions, this was not the case here. We both could only manage two courses. The service was very good. Good wines at reasonable prices. Advisable to book in advance, it's not open every day. Will definitely be going back.

Visited Leo's again this year to enjoy the food and the music and wasn't disappointed. A lovely warm Irish welcome with engaging staff and the Bartley the perfect host. Don't miss a visit if you are nearby or do a detour!

Myself and two friends went to Caife Kitty twice during our stay in Donegal. The best wee cafe ever! It is immaculately clean and bright, but also warm with a very friendly and cosy atmosphere. Presentation was great, the tea came in a gorgeous pot and cup to serve it with, and everyone's food looked/smelled lovely. Portion sizes were generous and meals came with a beautiful side salad, everything we tried was delicious. Coffee was divine!!!Best of all were the lovely staff and owners, who just made the place so welcoming and enjoyable. Thank you!

I took my partner out for Dinner one Sunday evening ,He ordered the Fish ,chips and mushy peas and got a great portion i on the other hand ordered the Buttermilk chicken. well i must say you wouldn't even call it a child's portion it was that poor , 3 small bits of plain chicken sitting on top of half of a small roast Potatoe served with 8 large peas and a few shallots that's all that was served with it ,when i asked about the potatoes i was, told what was on the plate was what you got .Won't be going back in a hurry. Some dishes well over priced.

Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. Pub wasn't crowded yet, but patrons began filtering in before we left. Service was good and food was some of the best we found in Ireland. My husband had the seafood chowder and declared that it was the best he'd ever had! I had a beet salad (yummy) to start and salmon for my meal. Delicious! There is an option for outside seating, but the weather was iffy (it's Ireland for heaven's sake) so we sat inside which affords one the view of a lovely bar and lots of dark polished wood creating an oldish world ambience. Would recommend.
